i think Portugal having an extra 24 hours rest helped them tonight. Plus France playing Germany took a lot out of their performance.

Where's our resident West 'am fan when he's needed, Payet crocked Ronny goooood!

FWIW I didn't think it was a foul . Don't know if that is due to Claret and Blue tinted specs or not . I genuinely thought it was a fair tackle much like the tackle he made about 8 seconds earlier

I was astounded ( by both ) ...Payet doesn't normally " Do " tackling

Well done SS

Cheers

£320 return and aother £3 free bet for the in.

With the £600+ I dragged at York on Saturday and more importantly the £6 I won at Grassmoor yesterday, I've had worse weekends!

The French were a very average side from start to finish. I thought Germany were the best team even though they were below their usual standards in this tournament.

Looking at the prices of the winners at York, you did very well to be that amount up.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel uncomfortable watching Ronaldo's melodramatics, histrionics and constant need to take his clothes off.

I don't think you need to be a scientist to work out his persona but, I do think he is creepy.

I thought france were a good side hence getting to the final..how can an average side have 3 out of the top 4 competition goalscorers to think france were average is ridiculous.

£7.50 EW on Pamona at 20's and £2 forecast on the same race accounted most of it, then a decent lump on Franco Flori in the last meant I had a very jolly evening!

Agreed the vast majority of the French team would have walked into ours. Compare the electric Payet and Griezmann to our Sterling and Kane. France should have won the final they had 3 or 4 gilt edged chances but Portugal put up a good fight their keeper was fantastic.

All the England team would have walked into the Iceland team but we lost. I thought France were in the main, poor last night and if everything was based on "should have" we'd have gone through as on paper we had a good team.

Portugal put up more than a good fight, they lifted the trophy.

Its a final there was a lot at stake and finals are about winning over performance...how did portugal win it? simple by working their b0110x off for 2 hours and capatalising on the rare chances they knew they would get they had a togetherness i did not know existed in their game.

3/7 in a below standard competition this time imo, as Spain and Germany slipped below par. Wales, Iceland, Portugal did better than expected perhaps because standard was lower. Saw France play against Romania, Albania, Swiss, Ireland and wasn't impressed. Better against Iceland, thought Germany were better team in semi. France should have beaten Portugal but a low-key performance.

I thought France stepped up to the plate in most games under intense pressure. They pulled it out of the bag against Romania with a fantastic goal, came back from behind against Ireland with a barnstorming second half, slayed the Icelanders, played a great game against the Germans. Just slightly under par at the final hurdle.

Imagine if we had done all of this on our own patch? We would have hailed it as an electric summer!

Disagree,
Historicity you will find theres always one team that has 24" hrs extra rest and im 99% sure
You'll find its a 50/50 split on who won,
France had an extra 24" hrs rest in the Qtrs too.
Also remember Portugal played 3 games that went into 30" extra time which has never been done.
France beat the Germans so thought that win made the final a forgone conclusion they'd win it especially when Ronni came off
so soon after ko.

are players allowed to dick about in the coaches technical area as Ronnie did?

funny to see on social media that Man U fans still appear to be in love with the winker and he can do no wrong

Think the Portuguese stepped up when he went off and were better once it wasn't all about him, although the coverage after was cringeworthy - Ronaldo wins the euros etc etc - not Portugal win the euros

France did to their nation last night what we would have expected to happen from our team. Been good all tournament but blew the big one.

Ronaldo was embarrassing and the TV coverage I watched was embarrassing. Spent most of the time after they had won the trophy with the cameras focussed on Ronaldo flat on the floor, rather than watching the players who were celebrating out on the pitch. Just how long did he lay there milking in before going over to the rest of the team?

I had to laugh earlier, he was running up and down the pitch, albeit very laboured, but as soon as he decided he was coming off, he was beyond walking to the touchline and he needed a stretcher. Me, me, me, me, me.

Quality player, who has everything, but what a drama queen.

I could have sworn i saw him geeing the players up before extra time he cannot help it if the cameras are thrust in his face ffs the bloke has carried his country into the euros single handedly and imo the players rallied for him not because of him, the bloke is a legend an absolute collosus of the game and every portugal player knows it.
