Mate, he's one of the highest paid managers in world football; we have played three third rate teams and won one game (luckily), if he can't expect the obvious to happen and devise the right plans to overcome said happenings, he deserves to be sacked, qualified or not...it's horrendous when you actually look at it.

Yeah that's right , Wales the team that never had a kick against England apart from a poxy bale free kick that even Barry Roche would have saved!

Righto. Based on your usual success rate of prediction I'm off to the bookies. Play offs and Evans top scorer.....😀

One man doesn't make a team though! As Portugal are finding out with much better all round quality and despite Waltons claim overall England are a much better team than Wales for me....
But we shall see in the next phase!

Agree with you. I can only assume (hope) that this was 'The' chance to play some of the other players and he'll now concentrate on what really matters with his team selection and substitutes. I just hope he doesn't revert back to Sterling

Sadly hodgsons wages are a reflection of our domestic game, a game which has made millionaires out of the likes of Robbie savage and Steven Ireland. As the top management job in this country I'm afraid it's always going to command a massive wage.
If we are going to argue we won the one game luckily surely you can equally argue we were unlucky to only draw the other two? We probably had five decent on target efforts stopped last night, but we qualified and if we played like we did last night and won our next four games on penalties nobody would care.
Despite all the hype, we're not that good, apart from fullbacks we have virtually no width in the squad and I agree we were too ponderous at times last night, all this tippy tappy stuff always struggles against a well organised outfit.
I agree his wages are daft, but all the money in the world won't make him a magician, we're an ordinary side with no world class players.
We are through the group and to get anywhere close to the semis we will need our portion of luck (a la bales two free kicks).

They also missed the best chance of the game for me with Smalling's howler. I still think we've got a lot more to come and the winner never starts well, they grow into a tournament. We've got a lot of improving to do though and Woy has to get things right from the start and make the right choices throughout the match.
