don't blame you at all pete. I wouldn't want to be associated with having any official capacity with this board. its full of idiots. for every one decent comment there are at least 100 stupid ones and its ironic that most of the idiots have posted their best wishes above.

You are clearly thick as pudding though and have brought nothing to this forum but whinging. Have you ever made a slightly constructive post? You just sit in the shadows and snipe. I'd advise you to piss off if it doesn't take your fancy.

Thanks for your efforts Pete.

Plenty of controversial threads to moderate in recent times. Certainly no easy task and I can imagine a fair bit of time was required to filter through all the contributions.

For those who have had dealings with Pete over the years, two things come across in abundance, professionalism and integrity. Therefore I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever in my mind, that Pete has found himself in a very difficult and unfair position.

I have disagreed with your position on many occasions, not least on the need for a Supporters' Bar at the ground. I also think that you have defended the club far more than they have deserved bearing in mind some of the individuals involved.
Nonetheless I know you have given hours of unrewarded and unstinting effort to the Football Club that we love. It is therefore a sad day that you have withdrawn from this position. Thanks for all your time on our behalf.

Well done. You have managed to insult everybody with one paragraph.
I have to admit though, it's made me smile because you still come on here to read those stupid comments in the hope of reading that one decent quote.
It's more amusing to think that there's plenty of decent posts on this thread and yours is stupid. How does that work out in your grand scheme of self importance?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

With immediate effect I am standing down as a moderator on the message board.

This is complicated by the fact I have an administrators role. I will continue in this position in the short term but will not look at postings from an official position except in emergencies. I will continue with this role to ensure the board also severs its links with CFSS. The other moderators can choose to display any threads I was checking.

I will state that I have not disclosed the identities of any members to the football club nor have they asked for any information. My only disclosures have been to the police and are covered under Section 29(3) of the Data Protection Act.

Of course I tried to stand down as a moderator more than a decade ago when I joined the CFSS Board but was talked out of it...

I reserve the right to post as an ordinary member and to report content that breaches the rules or common decency!

Thanks for your efforts on here, Pete.

Must be the week for resignations.....

Happy retirement, Pete. One of the few, and decreasing, sensible posters on here.

Pete once compared this forum to a pub; issues discussed in an adult, honest, up-front, perhaps robust manner yet within the parameters of common decency.

Though a tiny minority clearly fall below those standards that's still the case for the vast majority.

Pete deserves credit for his part in establishing such an environment.

I'd also repeat my personal gratitude for the favour he did me despite criticism I'd posted earlier.

A tribute to his character.

Unfortunately his positions on 'Bob's Board' and within the Trust have caused questions to be asked, especially given the belief that members of the CFC establishment have received forumites' details.

If Pete says those details weren't supplied by him I'm happy to accept his word and hope everyone else will adopt a similar attitude.

Cheers, Pete.

There's a rumour long term employee and lifelong Town fan Paul Watts is on the brink of following his predecessor, long term employee and lifelong Town fan Gary Cook out of the Proact.

I'll allow folk to draw their own conclusions...
