Cant remember ever feeling as low supporting Chesterfield as I do at the moment. Awful season, shocking football, no passion or pride in the blue shirt, and a board who have no interest in the best interests of the club or the fans. If we stay up, Im dreading next season. Fully expect us to occupy position 24 all season with a team of mercenaries who don't give a monkeys.

It's shambolic for sure and next year's budget will probably be one of the lowest in League 1 but unless a miracle buyer comes along we are certainly stuck with it.

Shocking second half. Just let Swindon have the ball toying with us until they inevitably score. Unrecognisable as a football team in the last 45mins. Can't wait for this dreadful season to end.

Supporters were embarassing, relegation battle and hardly a peep, tried to get us going but everybody just sat thereas if theyre at a wake

I disagree. I think the 337 supporters who spent their money watching that boring, useless crap are absolutely fantastic.

Town fans are gash anyway at making any sort of noise - Wigan, Barnsley and Millwall aside this season it's been like a morgue every week. Not even had an enjoyment of a decent atmosphere to make up for the poor football

Always refer to 99/00 under Duncan and Lea and you feel invigorated...we will stay up....unlike that abortion of a season when we never scored in 23 league games (half a season)..that season will always be our reference point of pain....and this year is better belive me however much a capitulation 3-0 against our nearest feels last week.

I did my national service watching Town between 1991 and 2003 never, ever missing one solitary match including League Trophy (JP)...In the end Town defeated me, the politics killed me, I walked away and reflected.....I am worried by recent developments but do not possess the heart I had in 2001 to question like I did......I respect with immense pride every Town fan who goes and supports with pride at outposts like Swindon during this difficult period... .you should be proud

Were you the one at the front who called everyone ***** for not joining in and then walked out like a 2 year old when Swindon scored. Cos *that* was embarrassing.

Whilst Allen says he will sell he hasn't actually advertised or put up the club for sale so it's unlikely a buyer will come in

Definite parallels.

Lea and his Board underwrote success but then responded with player exits and policies they were warned by fans, face-to-face, would decimate attendances.

However they arrogantly dismissed legitimate concerns in a 'Who are you to tell us?' manner.

Well we all know how that worked out, don't we.

To his enormous credit Dave Allen invested the millions that delivered one of the best seat-for-seat stadiums in the lower leagues, two L2 titles, two Wembley visits - one being successful, and the closest brush with the second tier in thirty five years.

But then continued losses that defied sense or circumstance saw him adopt a Lea-esque attitude, cashing in wherever he could and snubbing everything supporters told him.

To the point of standing by a CEO whose name to many has become synonymous with crass, bungling incompetence and questionable associations.

Lea not only sold to a fraudster, but loaned him half a million quid to take CFC off his hands.

I believe intervention from 'Bob's Board' members may have averted a similar scenario.

Though the environment that saw Cook and his entourage enjoy alleged perks and privileges, the likes of Alnassar and Bingham handed months of perhaps expensive hospitality and an enterprise run by CFC employees subject to CCJ's, visits from bailiffs and critical reports in the national media is still a source of major concern to honest Spireites.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people
