I'm not sure the 'watchers' in question would have the competence to put together a watertight case for the prosecution.

Ha ha. Very true.

We could have a vote on which particular individual most inflamed the 'Brockwell' situation.

Lol
A new hope.

Just a word to all on here.

Posts on here are obviously being viewed by worried and irate members of CFC staff.

I have it on good authority that anything that is now viewed as libel or imflammatory is likely to result in possible legal retaliation.

Therefore please be aware and choose your words carefully.

Regards Nigel.

Thanks for the word of warning anyway.

If folk feel so strongly about how the clubs being run then the best way to protest is simply not to renew your season ticket and hit them were it hurts in the pocket. That's the only way you'll get them to sit up and take notice. To me there seems to be a massive schism between club and supporters that has developed over this season which I can only see getting wider due to the way the club's being run.

Or, as other clubs have done, a walkout at a given time. Last home game against Bury, stay away for the first half etc.
A new hope.

Really! I would hazard a guess that there are more folk putting off renewing regardless of the early bird offer due to our current position and the way they see the club being run.Oh and lets not forget the extortianate cost of watching sub standard football.

Too late my friend, it will be a seven day wonder as the close season approaches. Just look at Blackpool, the fans have boycotted the club all season and nothing changes.

The AGM is the most important date on the calendar and even if the club call it at 2am on a Sunday morning I am sure it will be a lively event.

God I hate this league.

Indeed.
On a serious note though, I don't want the fans/club relationship to deteriorate to the extent it did with JNL - look where that left us.

Although it's probably best for the Sheffield mafia to find a new owner, and I thank DA for all he has done for CFC, care needs to be taken.
A new hope.

I'm unsure where Nigel's info has come from, but if it's come from the club then it's an odd time to put this out, with the ST deadline day approaching.

Yeah its getting ridiculous. Really hard to try and stay loyal to the club when it's being run by people so out of touch with the fan base and doing such a poor job of looking after the club we love.

I want to support the club but the hierarchy don't deserve our support with the circus that's going on behind the scenes.

They've brought this on themselves. If they did their jobs correctly and didn't get involved in all these behind the scenes ventures and schenanigans then there would be no digging into the murky waters by worried fans who are trying rightly to hold them accountable for their actions.

(If any of this is libellous then please delete it mods, the line of what we can and can't post anymore has all but disappeared)
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

In the good old days the AGM tended to be arranged for 10am on a midweek day usually at the Portland Hotel when most shareholders

could not attend of course but whilest Arthur Sutherland was secretary nothing changed :windup

How laughable is this thread!? We've already had three novels worth of the expose!!!

If anyone was getting the lawyers in it would've happened already. It hasn't. And the OP saying he is 'sure' everything will be addressed! Based on what!?

My cautionary words of advice are...

'Don't ever run errands or be the mouthpiece for dubious masters. Let them do their own dirty work instead of hiding behind the easily fooled'

I'm in agreement with you, why ostracise the same people who are just about to hand money over ?

Maybe it's the pathetic name calling that has upset the apple cart.

Let me make this absolutely crystal clear for you.

I am not running errands, etc for anyone at CFC !

I don't want to see anyone on here whether I know them or not falling foul of threats of litigation.

Myself and other concerned supporters on here are not easily fooled and will continue to investigate the goings on at the DC/PPP,etc.

Please also explain to me what you find laughable about the thread ?

It wasn't aimed solely at you. It wasn't aimed at anyone in partiular as it happens. But, to clarify, who told you to post the warning? Someone involved with CFC?

No one will fall foul of a threat of legal action. Because it is only a threat.

I already explained that over a 1000 posts have already torn the hierachy a new one,and yours is not the first warning. Thus making 'warnings'laughable. I was banned for a week for supposedly being libellous. Where's the solicitors letter?*

Doubly laughable is the threat of legal action for "inflammatory" statements. When did using 'inflammatory language' become illegal!?

** To my knowledge, libel is not relevant regarding message boards, it is usually deemed closer to public converse rather than publishing, so is deemed slander.

Fair enough mate.

Nobody told me to post a warning, given conversations I've had this week I simply just felt a couple of poster's in particular on here might benefit from it.

My impression is Slander is verbal, Libel is written.

My point was presumably these threats come from someone at CFC.

I'm not for one minute suggesting people should think the law doesn't apply here. Nor that you aren't genuinely looking out for others. Any ire my post contains is targeted solely at those making the threats in the first place.

I'm not 100% on the slander thing. But my understanding is that message board users are considered to be conversing (like a verbal convo) rather than publishing. Could be wrong though!

That's cutting off your nose to spite your face. Ridiculous post. Then we wouldn't have a team to compete and it would be, in part supporters faults.

I think there is a case if someone makes a factually incorrect statement - which is grossly and unfairly incorrect then there is an issue - simple as. ATM Wilson is getting us out of a hole - goals against have, for the most part, been reduced yet there are STILL people slagging Morgan , Wilson, the board and the players off. Football is definitely a vehicle for the dissatisfied...........!

Personally. I'll be going less for the simple reason that the football is awful to watch and the price is too high.

Didn't mind paying high admission and being bumraped when I bought a pie an a pint when we invested in decent players. After a season or two of being insulted by the owner, and with the 'lube' of good football being removed; I'm considerably less willing to take it up the proverbial and think of England.

As DA said. FOOTBALL IS A BUSINESS.

Therefore, I'm a customer. And the product isn't worth buying.

I can't argue with any of that.

I've not bothered with away games since Walsall in October, infact only done four all season, whereas I'd normally do 18-20.

Agree with all of that.

I thought Morgan was way out of line publicly chastising a ball-boy, felt the same way about Mourinho and their club doctor. But I've no problem with him otherwise.
