How do you put a profile picture on your profile?

Click on your user name top right of screen to take you to your profile page, click “edit my profile” button just a bit further down top right, one of the options on the left of the screen is “change my photo” enter location of photo in box at the bottom or browse and it should resize it automatically.

For the picture to appear on a post, Jack'll need to go to the next section and pick 'change avatar'
rather than change photo...

Instant.
There are 2 pictures you can upload.
A profile picture which you have done shows on your profile page. nice lamppost by the way.
An Avatar picture which appears next your post when viewing the posts on the board.

You may have wanted to upload that to both.
