The first one has a 1230 ko between Burton and Oldham and is being televised live on Sky
The only other 3.00 ko between Bradford and Millwall is being televised live on several tv channels in Europe
And then there is our match and the only way you can see it live is to PACK THE PROACT COYB

The players would have had an extra days rest before Oldham away on the Monday.
Also IMO; a bank holiday home fixture with the chance of an improved home gate, although that could be said of playing on the Saturday with virtually no other 'live' games available?
Cant see Fleetwood bringing more than 200 on either day though.
Wonder if the reason is not having to pay the stadium staff an enhanced BH rate!!?

One of the reasons is that for many Good Friday is a working day; certainly it is a full retail day. Particularly around this area there seemed to be a tradition of having Easter Tuesday off rather than the Friday. I was asked to confirm a meeting for Tuesday as for this reason as there was surprise I was "working" and I know some who are working as normal on Friday.

TBH until a few years ago the Easter fixtures were always Saturday, Monday..it's only very recently that the Good Friday games have been revisited.

Back in the 60s and 70s we always used to play at home on Good Friday afternoon and when I started work I always had to take a days holiday
because our official Easter holidays were always Easter Monday and Tuesday
One Good Friday home match in the late 70s I think we were losing 3-1 to Grimsby and ended up winning 4-3 with Rodney Fern amongst the scorers
Can anyone else recall that match and have I got the facts right from memory?

Yeah, we lost to Port Vale this season on a Saturday after they played on a Thursday and we had plenty of rest compared!
