No contact???? I imagine we have no intention of signing.

Thanks Lee Novak, I enjoyed watching you. A highlight of a poor, poor season. Sadly only more of the same to come.

I agree. It was probably obvious from day one that we wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't * delete as appropriate, meet what other clubs would offer, and we paid initial lip service to a possible move all along knowing it was never likely to happen.

I suspect there will be no marquee signing until it has been confirmed we have off loaded SEB. If we manage that at all.

Do you really think we will offload SEB ? Don't hold your breath on that one.

We can always live in Hope although Hathersage is quite nice too.

In response to Toby
You were "Told that the club had not had to bail out the PPP" did you ask for proof of this ?, when asked questions people will always give you the answer that you want to hear.
Without proof to substantiate an answer then the answer is irrelevant

It isn't the lack contract offer for Novak that bothers me so much as the pretence that we are negotiating with him. That and a lack of any transfer activity after our Meathead CEO promised that a number of signings were "close" just to relieve pressure on himself.

Sammy,

Have you seen this? Very odd that Toby Perkins met with Turner last Friday after what you had been told.

I have now

Not intending to be obscure, I am attempting to be helpful.

There have been people on this board suggesting CFC has had to bail out PPP, I'm told that isn't the case.

I hope that I will be able to learn more about progress and issues and all I can promise is that I am reporting what I am told as straight as I can, whilst respecting confidences where appropriate.

I enquired about it because there are legitimate concerns, I've no interest in being a PR man for PPP, but similarly I am giving people an opportunity to also state their case in as non- judgemental a way as I can. My language might be more circumspect than some would like, but the best interests of the club are an issue that affects the whole Town and I am taking a keen interest in an issue that I know is of concern.

Hi Toby

I was told by a current director on the day the DT ban was announced that CT had been told by the hierarchy at CFC to resign from the Development Centre.

Can you confirm your meeting with CT definitely took place after this?

I am available on twitter if you care to discuss further in a less public way

The fact there are two development centre business that CT is a director could explain that. I hope Toby can go back and ask for an answer as to why a new business was formed in January. if it's trading and if so what the implications are for the original DC business.

Was it an investigation? I doubt it. Proof of a transaction they say didn't happen?

Precisely, I was there for an hour, I didn't audit the books, I asked some questions I thought were relevant, I'm sure there are other relevant questions I didn't ask, I got answers about the past, which I expect to be true (but can't guarantee), I got answers about what they expect in the future (which I hope are true, but definitely can't guarantee). I heard some other bits and bobs on a confidential basis but which obviously I can't repeat, some of which was relevant but none of which was earth shattering.

I'm dead happy to meet at surgery anyone who wants to talk to me, but whilst I hope I might possibly be a positive influence on the process I am not going to be the source of loads of information that the club/ business otherwise won't tell anyone.

I met Chris Turner last Friday.

You're welcome to call me on 386286 and arrange a chat by all means. But don't think there's anything else I have got to tell you that I haven't said here, though maybe something that comes to mind in discussion.

Fair play for popping round for an hour and asking a few questions. Whether that is an investigation ...

So you didn't ask for proof Toby ?, a simple "No I did not" would have been the correct answer to my question. Who said that it was an investigation ?
My point is that it is a complete waste of time to ask a question if you do not ever have any intention to find out if the answer that you are going to get is correct.
What do you propose next Toby, shall we wait 25 years and then have an enquiry into the allegations ?

Morning.

You surely asked him why he has banned the DT. Were you satisfied with the answer?

You surely asked him whether he would be prepared to answer questions at a civilised open forum chaired by your good self. What was his answer?

The answer will be as per the website statement. Rightly or wrongly they can ban whoever they like for pretty much any reason and they don't need to explain further to anyone.
