Youngsters to link up with Ritchie again http://www.derbyshir...again-1-8737503

Strange thing was we went to Gillingham having not conceded a league goal up until then

Won at Preston 1-0
Drew H Brighton 0-0
Won at Mansfield 1-0
Won H Bury 1-0

And the youth team lost 10-1 at Aston Villa on the day we drew 0-0 with Brighton!!!!!

Ye, like the reserve games were competitive lol

They were competitive for the kids wanting to prove themselves were they not?

It's only my opinion but I felt that being part of a Reserve League was a good idea. You know best of course.

Monday 26th August,1963,Saltergate 1-1.

Monday 2nd September,1963,Old Trafford 0-1, Att: 8,221.

The programme for the home game was a type written single sheet, the last one I saw sold at auction for over £400.

He'd have been an unknown then I guess.

I wonder if any of our more venerable posters can claim to have attended.

yes i remember mike trebilock for everton reserves at

A number of us used to go to any match at Saltergate around the mid 60s. Recall seeing West, Parker, Labone, Young and Vernon playing in the same Everton side in a CL match. Always wonder if I saw Best in 1963 but we always looked for past stars in those days not future ones.

Although some players came every year without ever making a mark on their team, Alf Arrowsmith of Liverpool one example. A proper donkey.

£143k paid out under Danny? Really? How come? Does it include an overlap authorised by the previous regime?
That just doesn't make sense when you look at the players Danny signed.

I'm disappointed.

I thought we'd see a detailed break-down of who received what and when, but this is nothing more than the football authorities publish every year.

And as our friend 'Dim View' suggests, there's more than a hint of scapegoating.

The sentence 'This accounts for agents fees paid on new contracts and manager Gary Caldwell’s summer dealings in the transfer market, alongside Branston and Carson' is also a strange use of words as it suggests GB and AC were included in those payments.

Then can anyone list the thirty one players Danny Wilson signed? Or is the use of the term 'transactions' significant.

Yet again a hell of a lot of money has left CFC with fans none the wiser to where it actually went.
