I know they are a league above us but there is a common theme amongst all of Caldwell post match interviews that is transferring to this season;

'We played really well in the first half'

'We played really well in the second half'

'We had a really good 30 minute spell where we were dominant and all over them.'


Never 'we played well for 90 minutes'. And therein lies the problem, we cannot play a good game for 90 minutes. And a lot of the time we 'dominated' last season was when we were two goals or more down and the opposition were coasting at half speed. One good half is not good enough and needs to stop been highlighted as a positive.

You would like to think contracts for favoured assistants are mutually co-terminous- thus if. Caldwell resigns to go to a bigger club, Barrow's contract finishes at that point, whether Caldwell wants Barrow or not.
