Town working on link with Premier League club

Wor I don't understand is why Swansea should select us as a Partner. Will they also partner every other L1 and L2 club who send somebody to Wales to watch them train?

If we win the lottery by guaranteeing loan players more pitch time than our competitors think sensible then it's not a good deal.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

"If we can get them then great, if we can't we go non league".....

I'm not confident GC can recruit loan players to match those of Roy Mac.....it's gonna be another hard season.

Readig between the lines, we are desperate

So, from one specific premier league team to generic non-league? That's a quite a drop-off in the quality of target, don't you think?

For GB to then say the club has a lot of contacts "in and around the premier league" there's a contradiction in those two statements.

Just as managers, coaches and scouts say they can talk to other clubs, so can the players talk to eachother. Some of our former loanees won't paint a pretty picture of the club and as players are released, that conversation is passed to their new clubs. On-loan players then have a perception of CFC and are reluctant to come here.

No amount of "banter" from GB is going to persuade them otherwise.

Graham, can you do an article on the Freelander issue, and in the paper and not online. The wider public need to know about this.
A new hope.

Its a bit of a lucky dip even with good scouting of them as to how they take to proper league football. Its a market we have done well with over the years but you do have to expect the odd poor one here and there. If you consider the Hitzelsperger one as an example....the story was we only got him to keep Stefan Moore company who was the one we really wanted who turned out not that great whilst Hitzelsperger was really good for us and went on to have a very good career.

By 2010, Hitzlsperger was playing for Lazio, and Stefan Moore for St Neots Town.
These go to eleven.

Totally agree, this is getting out of control and it needs to be brought to the attention of Chesterfield residents and CFC fans alike. It's simply sickening.

Without F2's contribution (or indeed any other source other than here) I suspect it would be a piece so flimsy as to be pretty much useless.

Ay there's the rub.

Aware, folks, but thanks for the messages.

If and when we can legally and ethically report on any Chesterfield story, it'll happen.

Unless any arrest is made or the club make a statement (which is unlikely) it's an impossible piece to write.

Surely there is only one contender if it is to be awarded to the Number One Spireite Superfan?
