I don't know how it will work, 6 of us travel to every game and one person books the tickets with our ST, how will the other 5 gain points? There are other groups who you meet all over the country and they probably do the same as us.

The person buying presumably has the rest of you set up as friends and family and when they buy allocates each ticket to a person so that person is seen as buying a ticket. They would have to be doing that for games that have priority for season ticket holders first anyway.

If we go down the route of a system than allocating the ticket to someone would just become part of the process to buy them. My Sunderland supporting other half buys tickets for their games on a regular basis and that’s what she does, whether it’s a home or away game each ticket is allocated to a person so they have a buying history. She has accounts for her, her dad, her brother and now our daughter. If I go it goes against either her dad or brothers account, whoever doesn’t go, to build up their points.

Yes we would need some visibility of tickets being bought so either we sell them or if the home club are on the ticketmaster system as well can they talk to each other so town fans logins work and they go against that login.

Maybe they will just use the Ticketmaster date as they mentioned they would allow something to put in place. I think they suggested it wouldn't be comprehensive on the podcast.

The comments about checking what the IT systems can do suggests they are looking to see what the ticketmaster system will do but if we’re going to do it then it needs to cover all away tickets to be a proper system not just ones where we can get data for.

No expert, but presumably one fundamental is that CFC will have to take over admin and distribution of tickets for all away matches. I might be wrong but I thought I'd read (on here) that some clubs like to retain control and won't send 'em to CFC. Eg Matlock.

Matlock don't count in this though.

I got the feeling it was just a move in the right direction (if that is what it is). It would work to some extent on a subset of games. I suspect people are going to be disappointed if they think it will be all singing and all dancing.

Imagine 'Town Fan' moaning again if we start demanding clubs not on Ticketmaster to send us physical tickets to distribution ourselves :o

That's OK then,as when we book tickets we are allocated one per st which we have done since we went into the NL. I can remember one game non season ticket holders who were regular travellers were asked to produce 6 away tickets stubs, I've always saved mine.

Not convinced by this idea. I'm a season ticket holder who has to travel 150 miles each way for HOME games. Does anyone envisage that earning points in this system?

I'd think a ST holder's points will take a hell of a lot of overtaking by a none ST holder attending away matches.

Be careful though, we’ve just sold over 5,000 season tickets where one of the top selling points is “first priority on away match tickets”

Are we saying that ST will now come with “second priority on away match tickets if there is any left??”

Quite a few supporters have been buying season tickets for yonks with the main incentive being that one day they would become useful if ever a big match should occur ('97 eg) but knowing full well that the upcoming season would be mediocre at best. Will their loyalty be reflected in a loyalty scheme?

I just bought mine to keep my seat same as my mates. It's good to have 1st nibs on big games though.

Doubt the information available goes years back and where do you draw the line with what gets loyalty points.

in my humble opinion, it is absolutely right that whatever loyalty scheme is put in place then that comes after first dibs for season ticket holders. Its one of the benefits of having a season ticket.

If you're going to all away games it makes sense to have a season ticket?.
If you can afford the travel you can afford a season ticket?

Why would you doubt the information was unavailable? Surely info would be available since the ground move and you would like to think Cec Pepper and even Arthur Sutherland ran slick admin operations (OK maybe not).

"Where do you draw the line". Well, when allocating points, allocate a to be determined number of points per season as a season ticket holder and you draw the line at the point records don't exist, making it easy for someone to say records dont exist pre 2000 for example.
