After the Easter games my re-appraisal puts us 20th on 53 points. It's gonna be close! COYB!

51 points. 20th on goal difference. Back down in the division that is even worse than the one we are currently in.

And I've just bought a season ticket!

PS I used to live in Walton.

Can't count. Actually meant 21st ie 4th from bottom.

Even with a draw next week it doesn't take a huge imagination to formulate a set of results where we get relegated.

Theres got to be some big scores to influence that goal difference.

Fleetwood's GD is worth an extra point, ours a tiny bit better than the others

and even 1-0s either way start to swing the goal difference against us.

If I recall seeing the table Saturday, Donny's GD was only 2 worse than ours so 2 wins for them and 2 losses for us makes at least a swing of 4 putting them in front of us.

So that good point that took Donny out of the equation was nowhere near as good as the 3 points to completely take us from the situation would have been!!

I wish you'd actually look at the table and do the maths before you say that

If we don't get another point our goal difference HAS to end up being worse than Blackpool if Blackpool reach out points total, Doncaster still need 2 wins and will finish a point above us

If we get 1 point our goal difference HAS to be worse than Doncaster if they get those 2 wins

Both those scenarios are far from impossible.

Of course if we could always get into a situation with Shrewsbury where we a competing to avoid the last relegation spot with points and goal difference are equal. It then goes down to goals scored and that could be equal too as we've scored about the same so far. Wonder what the chances of that happening? What happens after that? Toss of a coin?

Their game in hand is at Walsall tomorrow night so hopefully they lose and they GD gets even worse. Walsall should be smarting after Saturday and can still make the top 2

I just did the calculator and it ended up with us fourth-bottom, joint on 51 with Fleetwood and Donny, but going down on goal difference. I hope I was being too pessimistic.

There's a player-rater on that site and clear at the top is Conor Townsend. Craig Clay is a bit further down the list.

These go to eleven.

I hope we stay up, because otherwise DW's tenure may be remembered for a tactical blunder in the last few games, rather than for managing to successfully stabilise a rapidly sinking ship post-Saunders.
