A very good win and performance by CFC today.

I pick out Banks, John and Conner D today - thought these three were very good.

Flood game by all. On wards and upwards.

Knew we'd win, never in any doubt...

We did enough against poor opposition. Started well, faded a bit initially when Herd went off and allowed them a goal that should never have happened. It could have been more really.

Is Conor the first Chesterfield born goalscorer since Gareth Davies? Can't think of anyone else since he scored in 2002.

+3 mins added on. #CreweAlex have been the much better side but it looks as though it's going to end in defeat. Must start better. (1-3)

Interesting angle on the match from Crewe's official media team.

Banks, Hird, Anderson, John, Gboly, Novak, SEB all decent to good. Mani and O'Shea not so good. Talbot bad first half, improved second.

Talbot was disappointing today, far too many loose passes and long balls to nobody...

I think whoever plays behind Aribi is going to look exposed to be honest. Aribi good attacking but shocking workfare and positional awareness when we're without the ball...thought Talbot started shaky but had a decent second half. Novak and Banks class today imo.

Considering the size and speed of the lump he was up against I think criticism of Drew is very harsh.
God I hate this league.

He was very poor first half, like he wasnt taking in what was going on around him and not anticipating runs players could make into space around and behind him, but he tightened up a lot second half.

Good skills with the ball in the stands today, Dave, prior to KO. The way you skilfully bounced the ball down the steps back on to the pitch was second to none.
