If the liquidator has found irregularities and it involves officials and employees of the club then Ashley has a major headache and he is faced with two options. He either admits involvement and in doing so he totally contradicts his previous statements on the subject or alternatively, he takes legal action against all those involved.

and if he's legged it by then?

Are you suggesting that Ashley is looking to do a Basil?

It's a serious point. The disputes are endless. CFC will be in the thick of one crisis or another whenever the sale occurs.

I've a very strong suspicion this thread will return to relevance when the Liquidator's report goes public...

Why are the investigations by the EFL and FA taking so long?

You've got some insight into the investigations. Do you think that we may receive a points deduction? If so are you happy with that? Where's the red line between paying back Ashley and potentially demoting the Club? Is Jack's tremendous work going to be in vain? Just asking because so many of your posts contain innuendo.

Heyup.

I suppose innuendo is the tool we need to use to prevent us being sued.

The last I heard is that Ashley doesn't think we will get a points deduction for the Graham farce because all the shenanigans affected reserve team football. He expects a fine.

I have no idea how seriously the FA/EFL view CFC players, even at a junior level, being paid by third parties or whether they are still investigating. Ashley has been asked several times who authorised the payments with no response. I sincerely hope we get an answer to that question soon and that the whole bludddy shower that run our club are implicated.

I don't understand what you mean by 'paying back Ashley'.

I'm not expecting the result of the Liquidator's Report to lead to fines or points deductions as it isn't of interest to the FA/EFL, but that's a personal view and others might spot links that I've missed. I think the findings will be a huge embarrassment to the CFC Board for reasons best left for another day.

The gift that keeps on giving!

Anyone want to hazard a guess at what is meant by 'a significant sum of money'?

£50k?

£100k???

Is this Liam and Chris returning fire back at CFC's hierachy??

Fear not! Mr Carson has responded with a "robust letter!" The money is as good as ours!

“This is yet another instance where the Development School has been trying to run on the back of the football club.”

Oh really, Mr. Carson.

Can someone explain to me, with the development school paying CFC players and employees plus accommodation, how does that equate to the development school trying to run on the back of the football club?

I challenge Ashley to publicise the itemised gross and net claim which the liquidator has submitted. Ashley has about twelve weeks to get in before the liquidator does.

...and hence why I won't be buying any season ticket until this embarrassing chapter in the club's history is finally closed. I don't trust them with any upfront payments, it'll be pay-as-you-go for me, for the foreseeable.

No, he robustly wants them to proceed with the claim. That way he might get his money back.

Wor I don't get is if Ashley's had nowt to do with the accounts, as he's confirmed, how does he know what constitutes a bona fida claim and what doesn't?

If the Liquidator has submitted a claim against the Club, then surely there must be itemised invoices on which to base it.

But didn't AC deny any such documents exist at last year's fans forum?
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

You raise an interesting question with that second sentence.

Have any outright public lies been proven against AC?

Perhaps he's cleverer than we give him credit for.
