Playing devil's advocate, how would we ever know if Ashley decided to compensate himself from CFC funds?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

That's a rather bold question.

If he thought a company losing seventy thousand pounds a year could trade its way out of a crisis by being lent 30k to carry on doing what they had done to get them into that state, then it is no wonder CFC2001 was losing money under his stewardship.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

For his alleged £34k personal loan to Liam Sutcliffe.

Is it 'alleged'?

I thought he'd been quite open about his 'investment'.

I'm not questioning the validity of the loan.

I only used the word "alleged" as there has been no concrete evidence that the loan took place.

It can only be confirmed by written evidence or verbal confirmation by Liam Sutcliffe or Chris Turner.

I am at no stage stating the loan hasn't taken place but without the above it must remain "alleged".

I thought Mr. Carson had been repaid following the introduction of FBT's capital?

Over a month and no posts. Has this subject fizzled out or is it still bubbling away and likely to cost the club dearly?

It needs some journalistic intervention, with a statement if Carson refuses to be interviewed.

I've a very strong suspicion this thread will return to relevance when the Liquidator's report goes public...

Sutcliffe still strutting about on Sheffield Road earlier today, into the sandwich shop.

The brass neck of him, surprised nobody has had a pop at him given what's still owed to folks.

How is Mr. Sutcliffe strutting about any different to Mr. Turner, Ms. Swain or Mr. Carson strutting their stuff?

Sutcliffe is the only one wearing plumber's overalls. He repairs washing machines.

If the liquidator has found irregularities and it involves officials and employees of the club then Ashley has a major headache and he is faced with two options. He either admits involvement and in doing so he totally contradicts his previous statements on the subject or alternatively, he takes legal action against all those involved.
