The list of entities that have mistakenly concluded that CFC accounts were linked to DS accounts seems to be growing.

Which may lead to two possible conclusions..either they weren't linked but for some reason someone's repeatedly tied the two together for whatever reason, or maybe, just maybe they were actually linked?
The waters just get murkier and murkier..

But isn't it strange that the murkier it becomes it sort of becomes clearer at the same time?

Just getting back to the basics of the topic for a minute, this is another allegation that has been acknowledged as accurate by Ashley. He has been aware of them all since February.

Moondog. Can you please ask Ashley to confirm that this was a single occurrence?

Do I detect a hint that there was more than one payment received from Ashley's supplier? Surely that will not be the case as it would throw doubt on his explanation.

No doubt it will all come out in the wash.

Haven't we been told, in a roundabout way, that they actually were linked? CFC provided "payroll" facilities for the DC from when they were set up, hence the fact that we ended up owing money to an insolvent company that were hundreds of thousands of pounds in debt, a large percentage of which was to one of their directors.

Whereas our member of parliament enjoys the Proact hospitality a little too much to follow John Mann's example.

I’m sure they paid for using CFC payroll facilities and all other facilities of the club they used!!!

I've just received a response from AC on this point who says

"There was nothing sinister to this. Regency Shipping are a Secure Transport Company and I have used them at SAO for 15 years. They have sponsored the Academy @ £6,000 a year as a favour to me for the last 6 or 7 years.

About 3 years ago the Development School (Liam Sutcliffe) put a match on for one of the directors under 14’s sides to play one of Liam’s teams and then watch a home game in the afternoon. They kept in touch with Liam.
Regency had then got confused and assumed both the Academy and Development School was one pot and they sent their annual sponsorship to Liam and he banked it. Chris Breeze later highlighted this to me and I stepped in and calrified the situation and the money was transferred from Liam to CFC Academy.

Liam basically saw an opportunity to take £6,000 off Regency by letting them think everything was one big family !!

Mystery solved… they still continue to be a major sponsor of the Academy and this year appear on the shirts as no one else has sponsored the shirts"

So the football club invoiced Ashley's supplier as they have done in previous seasons for sponsorship, but instead of sending their payment to the club, they sent it to Liam who banked it? OK!

Ashley implies his supplier paid by cheque. For Liam to have banked the cheque, the payee on the cheque would have had to have been CFC Football Development School and not CFC 2001. So an employee of Ashley's supplier processed the invoice from the club but paid Liam's company instead. Who told the employee to make the cheque out to Liam's company?

Either Ashley is telling porky pies or Liam has misrepresented himself and if it was the latter, why has there been no police involvement?

I recall when we were initially informed about the payment by RSL to the Development School the figure was actually quoted as being in excess of £7k and was paid by bank transfer.

If this was indeed the case and I certainly believe the person who brought the info to us in the first place then RSL certainly knew exactly which academy it was going to.

It seems incredible to me that highly successful companies like RSL and Sixt Vehicle Rental would make such basic errors in the accounts departments.

I've just had a message from a former employee who has confirmed that the payment was definitely a bank transfer.

Would you care to offer a reply Ashley ?
