I've just received a response from AC on this point who says

"There was nothing sinister to this. Regency Shipping are a Secure Transport Company and I have used them at SAO for 15 years. They have sponsored the Academy @ £6,000 a year as a favour to me for the last 6 or 7 years.

About 3 years ago the Development School (Liam Sutcliffe) put a match on for one of the directors under 14’s sides to play one of Liam’s teams and then watch a home game in the afternoon. They kept in touch with Liam.
Regency had then got confused and assumed both the Academy and Development School was one pot and they sent their annual sponsorship to Liam and he banked it. Chris Breeze later highlighted this to me and I stepped in and calrified the situation and the money was transferred from Liam to CFC Academy.

Liam basically saw an opportunity to take £6,000 off Regency by letting them think everything was one big family !!

Mystery solved… they still continue to be a major sponsor of the Academy and this year appear on the shirts as no one else has sponsored the shirts"

On this basis let's hope to God that nothing within AC's definition of "sinister" takes place.

This is what he said

"It would appear my Twitter and Emails have been accessed on my Computer. I have been advised to suspend this account. Apologies"

Hmmm
If I was a club chairman and in charge of a large company and I was accused of sending abusive message to a minor I'd be straight onto the old bill🤔

Would you do the same if a message board poster was telling everyone you'd said something was in the hands of the police when this was never the case ?

No, this is what he later added about the hacking

"Having not witnessed what happened on Twitter I can't comment on the Blocking of the recipient .
I have reported the issues to our Governing Body at the Assay Offices, The British Hallmarking Council as some of my customers have received shall we say "very dodgy" emails.
The data from The Assay Office is safe which is the main thing"

As for the "abuse of a minor" he admitted to calling a fan a "tw*t" in reaction to a tweet, it's reasonable to assume he wouldn't have known said tweeter was 15 years old.

The time served expression springs to mind. “Wouldn’t trust him as far as.....”

The 'abuse of a minor' wasn't what I quoted btw!
I said 'abusive texts' which is a whole different ball park!

Anyway all very strange innit?

What you quoted wasn't sent to a minor, but a tweet and a block in response to something he'd received from someone else, there were no texts. Not really that strange, quite common for some to act in odd ways on social media....

Please thank Mr. Carson for taking the time to reply and clear that up. Another poster has already asked if that was the only payment received from Mr. Carson's supplier, your post above certainly implies that.

Do you know if Mr. Carson and Mr. Turner are in a legal dispute?

you hum it, I'll play it.
The list of entities that have mistakenly concluded that CFC accounts were linked to DS accounts seems to be growing.

I just hope Moondog constantly reminds AC just how grateful we are for everything he’s done for the club.

Joking aside, Moondog, does he accept that he and DA are the true root of the problem or is it always somebody else’s fault?

So Blacks solicitors, with whom the Club had a relationship for a number of years, suddenly got 'confused' over where to send their CCJ, and now Regency Shipping, with whom Carson has had a relationship for fifteen years, got similarly 'confused' where to send their cheque. A cheque that'd presumably gone into the right account for quite some time.

thinking on, the receipt of an annual sponsor's cheque or brown envelope would surely have been preceded by an invoice to the sponsor from Sally. Did nobody notice that the invoice hadn't been paid?

Out of curiosity, I'd love to know which match their director was invited to.

Not a no then. Obvious conclusion to draw is that it's a yes.

Does seem to be a fair conclusion to draw.

Am I right in thinking that Turner entered into a Settlement Agreement of some kind with the club when he left? If so, I wonder why legal action is ongoing (if it is) cos Agreements like that tend to draw a line under pretty much any action that an employee can bring against an employer; if drafted correctly.

Mind you, a well-drafted Agreement will permit the employer to try and reclaim monies paid out after the event, in certain circumstances...

Intriguing.
