This is all very strange. Covering up lies and deciptful actions, such as James Higgins while preparing themselves for "a fight"! doesn't the stubborn old goat realise it's his customers, not "ordinary" shareholders he is taking on? None of it makes any sense at all. I can only think that Allen has been sold the idea of debt reduction through player sales to the point he does not care one iota who the CEO and the PPP associate themselves with as long as kids are brought in to be fattened up ready for slaughter. Indeed any means of generating revenues is acceptable, regardless of how honest it is.

Couldn't have put it better myself. We shareholders arnt up in arms because our dividend hasn't gone up were concerned because the club we love seems to lurch from one embarrassing event to another without anybody really being held accountable.

I think we get told when the accounts are published, so no news yet. Last year it was late October if I remember.

OK thanks

I'd guess that if one caviat of AC and CT investing the reported £30k each in the PPP (effectively steering it away from the impending iceberg!) was that as investors and not directors, they get a 'man on the inside'.

My guess is that AC/CT don't think LS has the business acumen to effectively run what seems, on paper, to be a decent concept and as they have other concerns day to day, need to keep an eye on him.

I asked about the PPP website a couple of weeks ago and was told that some changes were being implemented, including a rebranding exercise. Not sure it takes this long, however, to redesign a website (although it was messy and poorly laid out before).

No updates on the PPP twitter feed since June either.....

Y'mean that supposedly separate enterprise has enjoyed yet more coverage in the CFC programme?

Wonder what the going rate is for that kinda exposure...

..and what other advertisers think.

Not sure who kevin wildes is or how he intends on mending a completely broken recruitment infrastructure. As far as recruitment via the development or ppp whatever it is called id imagine thats dead in the water, with the amount that have left they will need players to bolster their own pockets before pushing them at cost towards cfc.
The academy has already pigeon holed itself by moving to sheffield in a statement that smacks of being small minded and tinpot , which it is,lets face it chesterfield or united or wednesday?...no brainer to a parent.Only problem is with the lack of investment over the years and chesterfield as a town having the most diabolical facilities for sport they probably had no choice but it alienated all of south derbyshire and north notts by the move.

Thanks for that dim , but can i say that it is imo an absolute must that this does not happen. The space is simply not big enough for 3g pitchs. If you look at what sheffield has got with st georges sheffield graves we need that kind of project in chesterfield.I suggest that the perfect facility would be a football hub on holmebrook valley park as you drive in the land on the right nearest the boules court is undrained land , convert that into a 3g facility would be the way forward and a far better revenue builder, no issues of real concern with lighting as no housing in that area.

That type of project should, and would need to be, funded by the FA. Not the council. The plans in question are to essentially solve the problem of what to do with the old Quuens Park baths not to improve the quality of grassroots football in Chesterfield.
I welcome the proposal on a purely recreational use basis.

The existing pitch is just right for 6 a side. The 2 extra proposed pitches are both bigger. I think the idea has great community value and CFC should lead the way by using it extensively, at the going rate.
