I think the club prefers incoming foreign scholars to kids of any age on their own doorstep. I doubt they'll mind too much about this.

Sorry, I meant the legally separate entity to the club. Mea culpa.

OK silly of me to try and point out that it could lose the community trust money, which actually could lead losing the club money from the football league, but don't worry carry on with the development school. (BTW imo the development school and what's happened is appalling)

Who said it was silly of you? Relax, it's not a pop at you.

It's an observation that the club seems happy to lose something close-up because their gaze is taken by something else. I don't believe they've even thought as far ahead as you. In fact, AC or whoever at the club reads this board, will probably raise the point and earn a brownie point from Uncle Dave in the process...

Ah that's a bit naughty, that's the community side and not really on poaching in other areas. Alfreton I could understand as it's on the cusp, but operating in Chesterfield is pushing it imo

Don't be under any illusion that Derby scouting around Chesterfield is something new, many teams scout around our region. Legally they are well within their rights to do so. Maybe the better lads do get taken from under the noses of our own scouts, but I'm afraid that's just the way it is.

If you look at it from another angle, why should an exceptionally talented youngster miss out on the opportunity to sign with a bigger club purely because they live near a lower league club?

Scouting is fine, this isn't scouting it's running community football groups in other teams areas. The community trust deals with sports within schools and after school clubs/holiday clubs and weekend clubs. The premier league give clubs extra money towards running the community trusts, if another club is coming in and running activities in our area, they can claim for it , which means we can't and therefore lose money. It's nothing to do with the development school, international academy, scouting etc.

I don't think CFC are in a position to criticise anyone over their morals...

If people knew everything that went on at any football league club... In fact even any semi pro club you could probably find processes... People... Or actions that someone could find questionable somewhere in their ranks... Chesterfield Fc is probably amongst the cleanest clubs... Given the size of the club and the town... If the kit man farts someone like sammy Spireite knows what he had in his shopping trolley the night before... ;)

Who are the moral bastion clubs?? Arsenal ? History of bungs... More than once...

Man Utd? Players missing drugs tests...

Chelsea... Sexual harassment cases against Eva carniero

Liverpool... Buying up terraced houses around Anfield and letting them rot ...

The list is endless

I can assure you this is scouting, just a different technique which at the same time increases the profile of the club. I'm not suggesting it's morally right.....but this is football we are talking about after all.

Andy Morris was Head Coach when he chose to leave the Trust so the rest of the structure remained in place. There is a restructure just being finalised but currently the Head Coach is Keith Jackson who is one of about 20 coaches who come under Michael Noon's department. As part of a new initiative there is a significant expansion in the activities department particularly around schools.

The Derby County "Own the Region" project that is offering free places around here is not part of their community rather it is part of the parent club.

Probably too much lentils and beans, and he should probably cut down on the amount of time he spends chewing gum.

Btw: glad you're still thinking of me

How could I forget you... When someone you've never met takes such an interest it's wise to return the favour and keep an eye on them! ;)

Is that why your friend Dennis set up an account on here, to keep an eye on the people taking such an interest in him?

That's not what I implied at all, I stated that no football club can take a moral high ground over any other, they all at one time or another employ people who get em into trouble or are involved in scandal of some sort.

I definitely don't believe chesterfield is the rotten club it's being made out to be, but that is 100% not an implication that all is rosy as it clearly is not!

Still working on both, and as you well know, unlike some people neither my Facebook or Twitter accounts are protected as I have nothing to hide or that I'm ashamed of.

So I was flippant with my initial response, however your post I still find somewhat misleading given the clubs numerous errors issues at the moment.
In my opinion CFC has too many people involved who's sole aim is money and ego driven, a complete and utter recipe for disaster.

What signed shirt story?? I was on about the oldest Replica shirt or some such competition you believe you were wronged of winning!

By "People like you".. Busy people with too much time on your hands who are a little obsessed ... Scouring Facebook asking people to see if they've won a raffle... Posting about what you've seen in people's shopping baskets...and that's just a little sample of quite a pathetic existence...
