I assume it's 'cos one of his subsidiaries is that he somehow has the means to sell CFC PPP very lucratively to foreign kids, which is a branch of the PPP business model not fully exploited beforehand by CT/LS.

Correct but why did he choose to become a sponsor for a total different (in every sense) company of his, one previously used in a attempt to give him credibility when seeking to buy Monza......

He would need a squad number first, which would mean registering his contract with the FA

Thinking about the finer details of the game, what are the minimum requirements of being a football agent?

To be fair he does appear to have a proven track record.

Of delivering nothing !

You missed a perfect opportunity there to have a laugh about trackside work! Ha ha.

According to Ian Evatt on Friday, there are no minimum requirements for agents now. They've got rid of the need for a licence.

I thought the minimum requirement for the majority of agents was a total lack of morals?

That's why Evatt now has Blathers as his agent. Interestingly he did say you have to have an agent to move clubs as a player and club cannot talk directly, so any talk of Tommy Lee going anywhere is and has been a load of rubbish 😀

I don't believe Jack Lester ever had an agent.

Why would a player not be able to talk directly to an employer about potentially becoming employed with them?

At a guess, I'd say if it happens before the final 6 months of the contract, it's considered "tapping up".

With all the "agents run football nowadays" coming from CT and DA, it would be easy for 'Club X' who have a player with Agent 1, and are interested in a player at CFC, also with Agent 1, to have an informal chat see how the ground lays...

What Evatt said is right, the need for an agent to be licensed ended up on 1/4/15, however intermediaries as they are now called still have to be registered with the FA. The regulations (see link i posted earlier) make it clear a player can represent himself, so should be able to speak to who he wants in the last 6 months of his contract.

A player has to have an agent to move clubs because they can't talk directly with clubs?....what a load of tosh.
