Hi freelander2
Thanks for your great ideas....yes Dean at rubicon has been amazing & is donating 6 Ernie canvases which Dad will sign, they will be auctioned off on the day to highest bidder.
He's also printing flyers/posters & balloon tags!!
What a guy..we cant thank him enough.
I will get in touch with the other contacts you have mentioned, so fingers crossed.
Keep those ideas coming....many thanks Sarah & family xx

Another suggestion for you!

When Elton John played at the stadium, Jacksons were commissioned to produce a cake, they did a superb job and it went down really well. Jacksons also produce the matchday pies for CFC.

Speak with Jane or Trevor on 01246 863027, they're both massive Spireite fans and I'm sure they could assist with an Ernie No. 8 Cake or a special Ernie matchday pie.

Also, have you spoken with Chris at Brampton Brewery? His company brewed an Ernie 8 ale back in late 2014 / early 2015 that went on sale on the concourses.

Freelander.....bet u cant Elton to come & sing!! Ha ha theres a challenge??

What about someone who achieved celebrity status in the Town at the same time as your old man was banging the goals in for us?

Hi Sarah, the information from Freelander2 is helpful. We have Eion Doyle's sponsored shirt from last season but it didn't get signed due to his transfer. If the shop at Bolsover know him, and can get it signed,we'll donate it for your auction.

Remember your Dad presenting us with table tennis trophies at Mastin Moor youth club in the early seventies well before such good work got any publicity.

Best wishes, Paul.

Hi Paul
Great news Eion has agreed to sign shirt so could you let me know when i can collect.
Many thanks

That brings back a few memories (shudder). Ever since I've hated karaoke . I wonder if he knew people were laughing at him. Probably didn't care as he took the money.

Some of you will be aware that we are holding a charity football game at The Proact on 22nd May,for my Dad.....Ernie Moss Legends Vs Soap star/Celebritys.
As a family we know how much you CFC Fans love & support Dad so im asking for your help.
If you,or anyone you know has a business that may be able to donate raffle prizes/auction prizes/tombolla prizes then please let me know.
There is also the opportunity to advertise in the match day programme for interested parties.
Its going to be a huge day & we want to raise as much money possible to help fight this vile disease.
Unfortunately its too late for Dad,but this may help the future generations to come.
Please please please spread the word & lets do Dad proud!!!!
Sarah Moss xx

Your Dad is well thought of over at Mansfield Town FC too Sarah where he spent 3 seasons . So i'm wondering if it might be worth putting aside the rivalry and advertising the match over on Stagsnet to reach as many folks as possible for this excellent cause?

That's just a thought though and I'm sure it will be a great day either way. All the best.

Hi Sarah, Dean from Claim to Frame, 5 Cavendish Walk, Bolsover rang the other day to say that Eoin Doyle has now signed the Bridge Inn Blues Away Travel sponsored shirt from last season and that it's ready for collection so I called in to have a look before you collected it. All the best, Paul and Kimberley x
