Just listening to DS co-commentating on Oxford v Swansea. I had to laugh when he lambasted the Oxford full back for attacking in the last 5 minutes instead of staying back to protect the lead. Who said he was defensively minded? 😀

To be fair, although he's clueless he can string a sentence together and did play for both Swansea and Oxford. Not many can say that.

There was nothing wrong with his knowledge of the teams and their tactics. He put his points over well, but I just thought it's a shame he couldn't put his knowledge into practice when he was here. On the other hand he couldn't seem to understand that Oxford's strategy was to keep Swansea on the back foot by going forward with pace, and they succeeded in doing that.

He can talk about football well he just can't manage a team. He talked our chairman and ceo into a job he couldn't do after all.

Having watched most of the game 'sans Saunders' as it were, that was apparent from the first minute. Telling that he failed to interpret that.

To be fair I actually said on here a few times that I enjoyed listening to him at times, and he did seem to be sensible, flooded pitch aside!

You have to credit the Donohue signing - nice to have the welsh language holding a conversation directly in front of you- there were 6 of em at Rochdale :sunglasses

We might have to credit him with more than one signing if the general improvement continues.

I agree. Just a shame he failed to recognise their strengths and employ a style of play that suited his additions and the squad he inherited.

He didn't have the best of luck with injuries or a settled team.

I'd say Danny has had the better luck having the goal threat we possess at this time

What, because we now pass to feet and press further up the pitch?

Baffled, here's me thinking he has exactly the same players that Saunders had?

I thought Donohue was scouted and recommended by Mitch.

In the Oxford v Swansea match what about the Oxford player who goes down in stages in the penalty area trying to get a penalty but is not

even spoken to by the referee let alone booked

All you can ask for is consistency in the decisions by the referees because that was a blatant dive whereas bolys was more doubtful by comparision
