Trains will be rammed and can't imagine they'll be any fun. Hopefully Town fans bag the seats. 8500 Sheffield United, there might be 1/10th of that altogether from us and Miwaw.

Wouldn't get to excited about getting seat reservations. Other half has used these trips a lot last few years going to the theatre in Manchester and a lot of the time it's a small train, packed and seat reservations aren't honoured so it's a free for all. Might get some of the fare back though if you can be bothered to go through with it.

I didn't realise. The trains will fill up at Sheffield from early doors I imagine though.

If the seat was marked reserved and someone was in it I'd be getting them out of it unless it was a pregnant woman or an old codger!

From what I can gather they just don't put any reserved notices on them.

If I'd booked in advance and reserved seat I'd be Tweeting/emailing and generally harassing the train company for a few quid back in that case!

The service to Manchester is disgraceful at the best of times. Trains that would shame the 1930s with folk sat all over the floor. The only difference between it and an Indian train is the lack of people sat on the roof.

Get money back easily enough if you go through the claims process. Other half often does it for various reasons getting free train travel for later trips or money back.
