Only because they were poor. Even with this they still shared possession, had more shots (including on target) and three times as many corners. Yes, goals win games and you are right it was never in doubt with the early goals, though it wasn't a professional performance. The stats back up what my eyes told me

Salford would have given us hell, FCUM had very little, but still match us on every stat other than the one that counts; given another team with more quality and that could have been a very different night.. that's my gripe as I didn't see a professional controlled display from our lads, I saw a display where the quality from one side and the lack of from another decided the game, nothing professional about it.
Anyway, as you say job done and you've got to be happy with the result even if not with the manor of it and a home draw (you've got to be happy with that) regardless of who you've got; and let's hope that I've got us wrong and we are on the up. Midfield is still bugging me like mad though
