At the time i thought it was a good deal but the fact he is a leftie makes it a good deal foe hull..they are like gold dust.

hes one of the most talented players to pull on a blue shirt since hitlesperger...of course not the raw sam clucas that was nearly destroyed by the hoofsters at scab fc...i mean the one who could play left back left midfield or striker with no adjustment issues and be one of the best players on the day...every day
fantastic talent

for me i think sam could go further than anyone else since kev davies he's better than tendayi who is a good player...Clucas was held back by the scabs and grew rapidly with our flowing football...he can really do something special in my view.

It says a lot that he couldn't get in their team, and that a lot of them didn't rate the lad, said he wouldn't be missed, blows hot and cold etc

It was a good deal at the time, a fair deal.
But it's important to remember that the Sam clucas we sold was a different player to the Sam clucas of today, he has worked hard in the last few months with hull and developed considerably already. I've no doubt his value will have increased already.

He is a regular in the Hull side. I would consider him at Championship player standard and a price tag to match. As with Tendi too.
Re Tendi- I didn't particularly rate him that highly while with us, I didn't think he crossed a ball to high standards or ability to beat his man going down the wing consistently, but did have the pace to tackle back. Hats off to the lad and to Burnley for tweaking his game to make him a Championship starter.
Re Clucas- From the first game he played for us, I thought what a stand out player he was and a bargain in today's market. I didn't think it would be long til a bigger team stepped in

Agree with this. I think he could play any outfield position (at our level) and look accomplished. Contrast this with Drew who could probably play all positions and do OK - with effort making up for technical deficiencies (not a dig at Drew by any means, but a demonstration that Clucas is versatile and then some).

Great to see that both are doing well. Would love to see both playing in the Premier League over the next couple of years
