Great night for Town but just watching news about Russia and athletics! We know there are doubts about FIFA and how Russia and Quatar got the World Cups! What should happen now??

The tournament is less than a year away and nothing has been proved as yet. What do you expect?

England could probably host it next week if they needed to as could probably a few other places like France, Germany, Spain, US as they arent building stadiums to host it or in the case of Qatar building towns so they can then build stadiums in those towns. Still plenty of time to strip it from Russia if they wanted to or more importantly found the balls to do it!!

I hope that if it gets transferred to here, no-one suggests using Northampton's ground!

Russia is corrupt from top to bottom. My wife even acquired a Russian driving licence through corrupt means, and I know people who vote for corrupt local incumbent politicians in Russia as 'all the candidates are corrupt and at least we know them'.

I grew up with the World Cup as the absolute pinnacle of football, but am now considering just giving it a miss. Qatar's labour system is a disgrace and any World Cup is not worth one worker's death.
These go to eleven.

With all the attention on athletics it seems Germany has gone under the radar deliberately or otherwise

Well the investigations have to be concluded and guilt proved before any move can be planned, even Greg Dyke acknowledges that

Strong suspicion of fraud is not enough and certainly Blatter attempts to influence the vote isn't without proof Russia bunged him and FIFA. Someone will probably have to go on trial and be found guilty otherwise litigation from Russia would probably cripple FIFA

So is there really that much time?
