Nothing on at the Proact then ?

Id imagine the 'stampede' for tickets probably put the club off doing something extra

Probably cost them more to staff it than they'd get back with so many other places with cheaper beer showing it.

All are just normal TVs in various places more than a screen as such. Peacock has a flat screen on one wall i think in just one side of the pub, Star used to have a tv in one corner and suspect thats still the case whilst the Vic has one big TV above the archway through to the pool table in the main room. On brampton i think the only pubs with big projector screens that will have it on are the Barrel and the Grouse.

Cheers Jon wanted to avoid the Barrel if poss!

Grouse may be an option but a fair walk from mine and quite small.

I would suggest the Grouse is probably bigger than all of the three you mention!

Nothing to worry about in the Barrel in terms of dodgy folk.

Really

and the Barrel or Peacock etc isn't?

I can imagine FG reminiscing over his paper round as he reads this

Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

I live off Rhodesia Road so Peacock and Star are about 5 minutes and Grouse is about 15. A big difference when you're struggling to make kick off!

Sadly I'm on a 12 o clock start tomorrow and won't finish work until 8:30 :(

Good thing is that I work at CSC on the Manor, so should be in the boozer for 20 to 9 to catch most of the second half!! :)
Guess who's missus has booked Cine world for 6.3pm tonight.

Wonder how many folk will be there. Should be decent on a massive screen like that; my Grandad was loving it on Sunday, he said it was like being at the pictures.
Happiness is like a cake. Have too much; and you get sick of it.
