First town fa cup result i can vaguely remember I think we lost to scarborough in the mid 90's. Have we ever knocked a premier league team out the FA cup? If so when did we last do it?

yes at mccain staduim wasnt that a 3-0 win , loads went , as a seaside weekend jobby , another league match working in london drove to scarborough only to find it postponed then long drive home

Apart from all the obvious ones in 96/7, Grimsby away the year after was good. 2 down at half time I think and came back to draw 2:2. Went and comfortably lost the replay at home predictably.

Scunthorpe away 1976 Old Show Ground my first ever away FA cup tie, fantastic following from town, won 2-1, whenever I meet up with my former schoolmate who emigrated to Australia two years later we go on about it, we went via East Midlands buses

The man for this thread is clarevoyant he's not missed a town FA cup tie since 1968 if I remember correctly.

and he saved my bacon in cup at bradford city thanks mick

Crossley was sent off in the penalty incident (by Elleray!)- Fettis was the keeper Curtis beat. Forest were Premiership at the time but shocking. That's how I recall it, anyhow.
These go to eleven.

Another Grimsby one was drawing 1-1 at Grimsby with Phil Walker scoring in the last minute and losing the replay 3-2 after leading 2-0

That was 1979-80 when we also lost 3-2 at home to them in the league later in the season

Willis and Breckin scored to make it 2:2. Leaning was in net with Mercer on the bench for some reason. A certain J Lester scored for them in the replay.

Bolton away in the cup-run. Burnden Park. My favourite game of all time. I have never seen a player spend more time on his backside than Gerry Taggert did that day. Big Kev murdered him
