Exactly and therefore he will have a clearer vision than likes of us, as to what the next few weeks have install. The well worn mantra of "in Cook we trust" proved to be a Red Herring lets hope it applies with credibility to Saunders.

I'm beginning to think they chose Saunders because the three relegations he already has on his CV will help disguise it if it all goes pear shaped when the board sell all our key players. This was their intention from the beginning.

That comment is about as sensible as the ones made by your female namesake!

He was told what was likely to happen. Once Dave, Clucas and Morsy have gone (as predicted) we are truly on a hiding to nothing. He needs to replace five key players..... With the same kind of qualities....That just isn't going to happen.

And then, very potential scenario... Drew gets injured (again); Jones gets injured..we have no cover whatsoever.

We have no central midfield (if/when Morsy is sold) and certainly no cover worth mentioning. We have no decent wide players.... (once Dave and Clucas are sold) and certainly no cover worth mentioning.

We have one striker of worth. If he gets injured....

So...we are left with a decent keeper; an aging Evatt..Hird (injury waiting to happen); Raglan; and a guy who hasn't found the net for a few seasons (and even if he plays well, his motivation will be truly sapped as soon as he looks around the dressing room). Saunders has got one hell of a rebuilding job on his hands; he needs to bring in at least eight players of decent quality.

I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to work it out for yourself, do you? Actions speak louder than words, no guff is needed.

Of course not; however, to hear it from his mouth would be good, instead of 'consolidate and push on'....

Well it started along the lines of "we lost how much" - then went into Bristol/Preston/MK Dons/Swindon are spending how much?which morphed into promotion out of this league cost how much? then "these players are worth how much?"

And there you go. The realisation of the costs of achieving championship football, hit home alonf with the rising level of debt.

There is a new game plan in town ...... its spending less than you earn, and look to develop younger/unknown players.

A new hope.
