Another hint to the board? Another hint that he just wants a bit more to achieve, for CFC, the impossible.
Go on, Mr Allen, give him some of the transfer fee to spend. Get a proper CEO, one who understands numbers, profit and loss, contracts and bonus in these contracts, and lets have 1 more season with the momentum we have built up. Chances like this come up very few and far between. Ive been a town fan since the late 70s - and this side is as good as ANYTHING before it, and hasn't, as under Cox, been a S*1T or bust gamble. If you want your money back - take a punt. don't take your loans back just yet - wait 12 months.
And get a COE who is both a football man, and a man who understands finance, someone like Alan Stevenson perhaps........oh, hang on.....

with just 10k to spend, who would you have recommended?
Don't forget we signed a loanee from Wednesday to try to fill the void, and he was recalled.

You cant say that to the premier non league/youth coach in North Derbyshire!!!!
To quote Paul Cook, we have to show respect!!!!
certainly as he is also the lead book keeper in north Derbyshire as well!!!!!!
a single £20 bet makes odds drop from 33-1 to 3-1 don't you know!!!

if you sell your top scorer for, to quote CT - your first million pound fee, you might expect a bit more than 10k to find a replacement

so we play with 10 men? have 5 on the bench?
Cooks hint was very simple
If I sell a player for £1,000,000 I want a bit more than £10k

Cook knew the budget for this season and quite frankly has worked a minor miracle with it.
What has probably been the final straw is the fact that he has been told next seasons budget will be exactly the same if we fail to gain promotion.
This being despite the fact we have sold both Cooper and Doyle for a large amount of money and seen an increase in attendances.
I still believe if we reach the Championship or Dave Allen is prepared to throw some more cash at it next season he will stay.
However if the club are not prepared to match Cook's ambitions he will walk.

We sold Doyle for a good chunk and what has Cook seen of this? Diddly squat (unless you include the cheap rush signings to replace the departing striker). I'm sure Cookie would have been happy if we'd have extended Morsy's deal and tied Ryan down to a new deal, but instead he got nothing, no wonder he's peed off. So basically he’s not just losing Doyle here, he’s losing the heartbeat of our team and IF we finish bottom half next season then Cook will no longer be interesting Championship sides, so it’s a very good time to get out imo IF he’s getting sod all back to work with.

You think we'd have got a Beckford for what we paid for the 2 Nuggets as you call them? I would guess between them they get about a fifth at most of what he gets in wages.
