Cant say i enjoyed much of what was served up today,Where they that much better than us?I dont think so,They grew in confidence because we just huffed and puffed and over played the ball around the last third.like we tend to sometimes. One up front at home, and shot shy?The second goal deflated us totally, are old accy heal the set piece/corner routine lots of work still to do.Why the hell can we not get it right? No consolation in the fact that i tipped us and rochdale to both lose at home this weekend. The play offs ,im immensely proud of the lads, this season ,its somethimg i thought i would never see, my beloved blues, close to championship foottball, are we good enough, the jurys out.

They are the best team in the division with a budget that is several multiples of ours.

We can compete, occasionally, if the stars are aligned. Today they weren't.

Forget about it.

They took advantage with the first goal when we messed up at the back whilest jimmy ryan hit the keepers legs when they did similar at the back

The second goal enough said. We might as well leave four up at corners for what good all ten outfield players do at defending them.

They never got out of second gear. They were much quicker than us, chased everything even though they had nothing at all to play for. When we had a chance of a break into their half they somehow managed to get 6 or 7 into their own box before our break got there. I thought they were very good.

That's the type of teams we'll have to play next season should we manage a win at Wembley.

Gulp!
Here we go again!

Today at the proact I was very proud of the class our club shown in welcoming the champions, and even prouder at the fact we've got into the league one play offs.

Then we get boring posts like this?

I heard that, didn't get out of second gear reference quite a lot, but as you say they chased and harried us into mistakes.

I think they were in a high gear today but if they weren't I wouldn't like to play them when they're in 5th

It was clear why they were champions. They closed us down very quick, were very fast at moving forward and getting back in numbers to shut us out. The best team at the Proact without a doubt. We could not get a shot off without hitting a forest of legs. Thought Banks and Gardner were ordinary. Our best player was Evo who refused to be beaten in the air even against their giant number 10, who he bowled over a few times. If we can emulate their performance in the play offs we can do it. Exiting times lay ahead guys and gals.

Yesterday's opponents had nothing to do with Banks and Gardner being ordinary. Banks is slow, ponderous and ordinary and Gardner just plays in flashes of brilliance in odd games to very ordinary in most.

Lots of congratulatory exchanges between fans in the car park after the game as we sat in the exit queue.

Talked to quite a few of them - not that you could help it, they took over the Rutland and the Tup - and they seemed a really nice crowd.
Always improves your temper, winning the league Championship I suppose, but the only bad words they had were for Swindon. They seriously don't like them.
