It will probably cost us £5 million in promotion bonuses.

Didn't Yeovil make a loss in their foray into the championship though?

The last time this question was asked I think the answer was 1.4M profit

Shorter version on the Spireites player interview conducted by Ian (club employee) as opposed to Phil T, just making you can't stop interest point, where the subject then quickly moved onto the match

Ironically Ian's a Pompey fan

One of the Pompey News accounts on Twitter alleging a quote from Cook on the timing of the request to interview: "It's not odd, they've not got a manager. You have to respect other people."

Lol. He's not even said anything of even slight substance there. "You have to respect people" - haha

Its swiped directly from the twitter feed of the Radio Sheffield guy who interviewed Cook earlier today :-

On the timing of Pompey approach, PC said: "it's not odd, they've not got a manager. You have to respect other people."

As Goku said though...its hardly revealing...just shows he is aware they havent got a manager currently!

What PC does not say is that he has no intention of joining Pompey. This from The News (via Peak FM it seems).

A new hope.

If Allen isnt going to improve Cook's budget on the back of decent gates and the sale of Cooper and Doyle then Cook has to keep working with one hand tied behind his back, meanwhile the better players are sold one by one. If Allen has no ambition beyond at best existing in L1 why should Cook waste his time here?

PC: "This can't be termed a long term project because if we keep being successful we are going to run out of money." Sorry - I might be being rather thick but can someone decode this for me?

Probably because the more successful and higher up the leagues you get the more that wages/transfer fees are inflated and we cant keep up with this.

The other reason why this isn't turning out to be a long term project as he has got us to the verge of the promised land too soon!

He means the budget will have to increase to keep up progress, but didn't phrase it right

There will also be an element of FFP in this as well....we are going to reach a ceiling where we cant compete financially due to our income from crowds etc not allowing us to spend what others do. The only wey round this is if some rich bloke makes us their pet project for a while and throws money at it.
