Remember the journey back from the play off semi in 1990, stopping at The Wanted Inn at Sparrowpit and it was full of town fans.

It wasn't that lucky, we got done that night by them not giving the ball back.

The Council buying the ground form previous owners Sale has probably saved the club from being homeless. They sold Edgeley Park to become just tenants years ago when they were skint so to have it back in control of the Council is good news for them.

Yes very sad. I wonder what Oliver Holt makes of it? I remember him writing critically, about CFC for 'selling its soul' based on the B2Net/Proact naming rights. I wonder what he'd give now for some local Stockport company to come in and pump a few £100ks to save the club in turn for re-branding Edgeley Park?

I guess it is, the whole Stockport saga is a sorry tale though

They ought to praise the council for this
there would be no way back if they were homeless

A cautionary tale indeed - in terms of who owns your club, be careful what you wish for........

Karma
I love it that they have gone so far down
Few reasons
Cheating and not giving us the ball back
Their fans were always horrible bounders when you were supping in Stockport
All that nonsense about people lining the streets of Stockport wishing us good luck in 96, they were all either overcome with guilt at the cheating or man U / man C fans!

Surely they have served their time now for all those heinous crimes against us.

I was fuming over that, hated them ever since.
The angriest I have ever been at a football match by far.
Mellowed a bit since then and now just sob a little instead

By skill and by fighting
