That's their main one that gets a lot of play. They are a bit strange in that they dont seem to have had much chart success but all their gigs sell out in minutes including some big ones at Heaton Park in Manchester, 50,000 tickets in 3 hours last time around, the last couple of years.

Actually having checked they've only had 8 songs from the 5 albums in the charts and 3 of them didnt make the top 40 :-

I'd probably like them. I've got some old Metallica albums to get through first.

I suspect you probably would, they are nothing groundbreaking but a very good listen.

Not my kind of music but you can't be anything but impressed with the young lad Dave picked from the audience at Glastonbury to sing Thiago Silva with him.

Kid absolutely smashed it, what an experience.

Can't link to youtube form Work, but search Dave Alex Glastonbury on youtube, its about 6 minutes long, from thr BBC Music page.

Probably best to tag this as not safe for work either due to some of the language....

Looks like fun and games at The Avenue again....gigs cancelled, including Tiffany!, due to issues with the building :-

Unfortunately, at this moment, our health and safety team have highlighted some structural defects with the building, as part of our duty of care to our customers we will have to postpone the up and coming shows: T-Rex, Tiffany, Cast and Dressed To Kill until a soon to be announced date. At the moment we are working with our Landlords to resolve the issues. The Shows will go ahead at a later date and all tickets sold will still be valid, if you require any further assistance on this matter please email. Thank you to all our customers for your continued support, we here at The Avenue really appreciate it.

Does anyone want to buy two Coral tickets for Holmfirth on August 2nd? Bought them a while ago but got tickets for England Australia at Edgbaston too now and that's won.

The dressed to kill and cast shows are weeks away and as the place is barely open before them surely that's ample time to get it sorted, there's a wheel off somewhere. Yeah would not bank on it been open long then again I said that a couple of year ago

Just got back from tramlines. Chic were very polished & professional but with their back catalogue it was the ultimate disco party. Fantastic.

Peter hook was the highlight on t’other stage. The singalong during & after love will tear us apart was phenomenal.

Far better yest than at kubix. may have been that being in the big tent kept the atmosphere in, may have been that it was louder or possibly crowd was more up for it.
whatever the reason enjoyed it far more.

I'd like to see Hook's band and would probably put them ahead of New Order these days for the show they put on.

just got back from bingley festival. first year its been at the rugby club intead of myrtle park.
billy bragg was his usual funny, political & poignant self, new update of great leap forward is great. the signers symbols for trump & fascist were fun.
miles kane did nothing for me but the youngsters seemed to enjoy him.
bunnymen were best iv seen them this year, no sound problems or diva behaviour from mac.
james were headliners & were fantastic/ 90mins wasn't long enough to fit everything in, police gave them an extension so they could do laid.

Cast now cancelled at the avenue with no rearranged date and the place is still shut due to structural issues. Seem to have had plenty of time to get it sorted. Wonder if it will ever reopen.
