Genesis are going on tour this year but not with Phil Collins. And anyhow I saw PC at one of his comeback gig's last year and he's still got it easily, was a great night.

It's crap but I don't know why you'd let other people's appearances bother you. Seems a bit weird.

I was maybe stereotyping a bit not as if anyone picked a fight but been in association did kill a otherwise good night. Maybe one to avoid. Has chesterfield always been as bad for late night drinking?

Depends what you're after pal. Places like Xanadu and the Brad were ok back in the day for townie types.
For the indie/rock types we used to have the Green Room which was ok. Now there's Sevens which is similar music but tends to get a few more townies in due to its proximity to other bars.
I suppose nowadays you get more people off their t8ts on drugs which is probably less appealing - in our day it was just pints that did the trick.

If its late night drinking its places where you can pull i like. I dont mind sevens plays rock music old and new. Even beach bar and grove plays some rock tunes but im guessing association just plays stuff the regulars like. Doubt a load of 18 year old would want to listen to bryan adams, journey etc

Depends what you call late, I suppose, but Einsteins is open while 2am and is always a decent atmosphere, a good selection of drinks and the bouncers are very keen to eject any sign of trouble.

Town started dying when they started opening the bars down corporation street, it was much better when you did a full circuit round the town, the change in the licencing laws made it worse still, town is garbage at nite now, but ok for an all day sesh in the old boozers.

But they didnt, they went to the badger etc instead of going to the gardners, yellow lion and queens head, the top end of town started to die off then.
