Where does it state what time it leaves chesterfield ????

It Doesn't it just refers to a RETURN "Special" Train home meaning fans wil arrive at their leisure but they have put on a SPecial train to allow the Fans to return together without too many queue's.

Quote

In further travel information for the match, there will be a direct return train, a 'Football Special', returning to Chesterfield after the match.

It's only one way to get us out of Derby asap

Not much of a football special if you have to walk one way. Good job we've not got Torquay

Would that have been at the old Sealand Road ground? Couple of miles or so from the station.

Yes, just over the road from the new ground. Awful open toilets that you risked getting nettled to get too and poisonous warm pork pies!

To be fair the last time Dave got the derby train from town it did leave from platform one - they swapped the trains over for him because the lift was broken !

"Wants to here from fans"

Who the heck does the club employ in the media office- 10 year olds?

What's it got to do with the club I'm sure I read police appeal to fans.

Ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie at Derby County, Derbyshire Constabulary's football intelligence officer, Dave Wright, wants to hear from fans travelling to the game.

It was a long walk back and Town fans caused quite a bit of bother after the match.
Sunderland in the cup was a good trip.
Barry Watson and Crooty organised some great away trips the atmosphere was always electric.
I can remember 3 or 4 specials to Notts.Co.in the 67/68 season when we were top of the league for a while.
Darlo was scary on the way back in 84/85.
The worst trips of all were to Barnsley, we always got bricked.Going in and out of the station.

For bricks coming through windows there was nothing worse than the late 60,s early 70,s trips on "special East Midland double decker buses" to Mansfield. We would get back to Beetwell street with half the windows out. But great trips great memories!
