That only tells us what time the trains come back. Still can't find when they depart for Derby.

Go on trainline, for times & prices.

It might leave at 10am but they might change it to 2:30am at short notice.

The best form of organised away travel ever, pity we are going in the car. There's a great buzz walking from the station to the ground with several hundred Town fans singing through the streets. Can Spireite player video it?

I remember several instances of this, Hillsborough and Chester in 79/80 when the column of town fans seemed to go on forever and the Wigan cup tie the year after when the police leading the column either got lost or took us via Bolton - mind you, Springfield Park was always the most difficult ground to find (apart from Gresley!)

I'm sure we were marched over some waste ground to Chester 79/80. Seemed a long way.

Lots of chances for video opportunities - travel on the coaches; set up on the A617 bridges; be at Pride Park as the coaches arrive. Fans could even post videos on u tube.
God I hate this league.

It was a long walk back and Town fans caused quite a bit of bother after the match.
Sunderland in the cup was a good trip.
Barry Watson and Crooty organised some great away trips the atmosphere was always electric.
I can remember 3 or 4 specials to Notts.Co.in the 67/68 season when we were top of the league for a while.
Darlo was scary on the way back in 84/85.
The worst trips of all were to Barnsley, we always got bricked.Going in and out of the station.

Would that have been at the old Sealand Road ground? Couple of miles or so from the station.

No good advertising trains if no one knows when they are leaving.

If they want to make it like the Football Specials I've seen in films about the 70s (before my time) then they'll have to smash all the windows and fill it with empty lager cans before it rolls up.

Not forgetting to take out any form of cushioning to sit on. Plain wood, that's what football fans like lol
