Because the demand was so high they wanted to put them on sale as early as possible....

Good listen! Some people were always going to miss out on getting a ticket - Like Toby said, we are given so many tickets, once they are gone they are gone.

Who would have thought that our away support this season would be up there with the likes of Sheffield United etc? Just shows how far we have come!! next thing...we'll be massive....ha ha

As a direct result of one of the clubs communications plenty of people had NO CHANCE to even try and get a ticket

This is the bit I find completely wrong

Sell to STs, Members first - Fine
Rest on general sale

Announce sales are to start online at 10am - fine

People expect announcements like that to be correct and plenty did not check back and did not see the next announcement saying they were actually on sale at 2:30am

Sorry I don't agree. If we'd allowed anymore for ST holders then there'd be hundreds (at least) of ST holders without tickets.
Regarding the issue of wanting to sit with your non ST holding mates it's a tough one and I initially was going to purchase my seat all together in the general sale as I didn't foresee a problem in obtaining a ticket, though on the Thursday I panicked a bit and made the call to get mine and my match buddies ticket (linked ST's) as the sale of tickets was going far better than I thought it would have; so if they'd allowed ST holders to buy more tickets, then surely far more genuine fans would have missed out than the few dozen that have now (I reckon we’d have been talking many hundreds, if not into the thousands depending how many they'd let ST holders have).

I think the current setup of one per ST is here to stay, and is in fact one of the few things we have got right re ticket sales.

The dilemma you faced here would be a regular occurrence if you speak to fans of clubs who often sell out away allocation.

Indeed all sorts of criteria are applied such as number of away games attended. The chances of a group of 4 all qualifying at the same sales stage becomes very low as the season progresses
