We are on the eve of our biggest game for years, a game we thought we would never be playing, then another one on Sunday both to Preston North End who have always been a bigger club than us, but we will be stepping out onto the playing field equal having earned that right, now whatever happens whether we progress or not to the final at Wembley i will be proud of my home town club the board the manager the players the fans and everyone else who works so tirelessly in the background, hopefully we will progress to Wembley and earn that step up to the second tier in our country a feat i have waited now for 46 years, i know i am not alone, so to the fans lets get the team over the line starting tomorrow night......

We have the players capable, they won 2 - 0 here earlier in season but we had an early sending off to Hird that killed the game for us, we had tomorrow's ref at Scunthorpe in 2 - 2 draw and he was decent.....

If we get to the final in front of 47kish it will mean 100,000 would have seen Chesterfield play over the last 4 games.

We have a lifetime of history We are massive underdogs In my 52 years we knocked on the door once before and we then went into decline I believe we could make it this time fate stopped us last time 3 points for a win would have took us there. I believe this is a big chance and who knows what the future holds a last effort till we succeed or fail. COYB

Had Motorhead cranked up tonight to get me in the mood for tomorrow. We've always been little old Town to our neighbours, well guess what, little old Town are about to gatecrash into the championship and there's not a damn thing any of our rivals can do about it. Fear the Spireites, we're coming for you, this is our time and we're sure as hell going to take it. Bring em on!
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

For all the criticism of Dave Allen that appears on here,we have hell of a lot to thank him for.

Dave Allen for me mate.

Sooner or later the massive debts accrued at Rotherham by Stewart and co will have to be paid.

Unlike most posters on here I dont have in depth knowledge of Rotherham's financial backers and their ability to manage the club's debts but I understand they have another £5m or £6m coming their way in the next few months. I believe they stopped SWFC from nabbing their manager and gave him a budget to keep them in the championship. Rotherham's meltdown has been predicted by our forum's financial experts for some years now. Is the day of reckoning getting any closer or is it just wishful thinking? Just asking.

We have a lot to thank DA for. Without his money we would be in a ground like the Deva, in L2 with no where near 7000 average. Themab wants his money back. No problem with that. The man wants the club to be financially viable. No problem with that. He doesn't want to be deeply involved....that's ok providing those you entrust to run the businessunderstand football and business
A new hope.
