I assume that's the British experience. I don't know, but he might have an Indian parent or wife.

If the club owner is well connected in India that would speed things up.

Well Chris Turner did say Boco has let the club down which is unprofessional and stupid, much like the majority of things he says. That's nothing to do with Mr. Edmonds.

No he didn't. He said he'd let Paul Cook down, which is quite correct. In any case CEOs aren't under a gagging order - there's nothing un-professional about commenting on the circumstances of a player leaving, especially if that departure was unexpected and at a very awkward time.
The fact is that you're prepared to believe any rubbish you're fed about Chris Turner, but you treat the obviously strange posts of people like 'edmond 200' as the gospel truth.
I take Mr.Turner's words with a pinch of salt, but at least he's accountable for them. The stuff on here purporting to be facts I don't honestly believe a word of, until confirmed by a proper source.

thanks for posting that, edmonds. sad if true but i'm not so sure everything matches up

Lol, H Again's inability to read posts rears its ugly head... Again.

I've commented on Chris Turner's amateur statement (which you seem to think is okay... fair enough, you twist and turn constantly trying to defend anyone connected with the club in any shape or form so that's expected) - I haven't blindly believed anything edmonds has said so, although I know it's hard for you, try and stop chatting shit for a bit. Ta.

"Thank you for posting. I'm not sure everything matches up"

"Mr. Turner did say Boco has let the club down, which is un-professional and stupid, much like the majority of things he says".

Detect a slight difference in emphasis there, can you? One is in reply to a person whose name you don't even know and who has posted some very dubious stuff on a message board. The other is a comment, factually wrong, on the CEO who is accountable for every word he utters and is presiding over probably the most successful period in the club's history.
Gullible hardly starts to describe it.

Do you attribute the club's current success to Chris Turner then?

Yes. He didn't sign - that's a fact, as I stated.

Yes. I was at pains to say that as well. Twice, as a matter of fact.

I haven't insulted Boco. I've given the opinion that Boco went without warning and left Cookie with a problem. Is that wrong?

That scraping noise seems to be coming from the bottom of your barrel.

Ah, so now your hypocrisy has once again been exposed you're trying to re-write what everyone can see with their own eyes.

Just playing devil's advocate here.
Who brokered all deals to get personnel here? Including Paul Cook and his team.

So now you're twisting and turning even further when you've been made to look silly. You're a special bloke, I'll give you that. To reiterate - I haven't said I believe what edmonds is saying.

I will admit, though, I dislike Chris Turner. He appears, to me and many others, to be a bit of a bumbling fool (probably why you empathise with the bloke) with his embarrassing media statements, interviews and such like (not to mention all the bonus issues, the fake sheikh, the ticketing malarkey and the amalgamation of other issues). Good on you for supporting him, he needs it at the mo.

I'm not sure how either a 'Boco did this' or 'The club did this' narrative helps now, he's gone.

Maybe the club was trying to get him on the cheap, or maybe Boco was trying to jockey for position in order to get a better deal. Maybe (as is often) the truth of the matter is somewhere in the middle.

I personally think that Turner should have held his counsel, wished him well and in 6 months time, he'd be a tiny part of CFC history. Someone who played half a season for us and left.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Is Boco from Benin or somewhere like that-maybe doesn't need a visa?

Given a decent budget I am sure there are plenty of individuals who could have brokered deals to get personnel in. In my view our success is primarily down to cook, with a bit of Dave Allen's money to back it up!

I don't subscribe to the current view that turner is the root of all evil, but he has made far to many 'ricks' of late for my liking and not acknowledged them. He doesn't come across well in the media to be honest.

I will however concede that his part in bringing Cook to the club has been his best moment to date...

'Finally, Boco himself added that he was ecstatic at the chance to play in India and looked forward to making a significant impact in the I-League with his new side'

That doesn't quite tie in with what Edmond200 said about Boco's desire to stay with us, does it.

Well, since he took over he's managed to sign an outstanding manager from right out of the blue, he's completely revolutionised the clubs non-playing structure, he's acquired a scouting and youth training set-up second to none at this level and some way above, and done it all without increasing the debt to anything unmanageable or even significantly higher.
That's a quick list off the top of my head - you can probably think of many other improvements.
I don't attribute the current success to any one individual, but at the side of all that the pages of whingeing about ticket sales and a clerical error in player registration is irrelevant.
By any measure that I can see we're a successful business - it doesn't come through luck.

For a self-employed bloke paid a retainer I know from experience that Nick can be in touch at any point.

I expect that Iain works the time needed regardless of the contracted hours whether that means editing in the early hours or losing Sundays.

The fact that the Club's social media seems to respond from early morning and into the night is testament to the work put in.
