Ernie Ernie Ernie

My video of Ernie and past players at half time, great to see Ernie with his family and a particular favourite past player of mine Albert Holmes and i think Bob Newtons in it somewhere lol....but the great fella shook my hand and he said it was a privilege to shake my hand....

Yes Keith. EVERY time I will take a 100% trier like Ernie Moss who works hard and makes the most of the talent that the good lord gave him over someone who perhaps is more skillful but is lazy, greedy and wastes it.

Albert Holmes was my favourite footballer after Ernie. Those sliding tackles he used to do taking the ball so cleanly were fantastic

Pity I can't really picture Albert as he was and didn't recognise him today although he was definately there. Bob Newton was the one trying to steal Ernie's limelight

Turned up but whimped out 'cos of a few drops of rain and spent the morning playing snooker.

Thanks. That's made me feel old. I recall his Dad playing for Vale!

Edit: Just checked. I always thought Phil was the son of Roy, but per Wiki, he is Roy's nephew. Phil's Dad played for Vale in 1947. Now I don't recall him.

How old are you? A quick Google reveals that his father last played for Port Vale in 1947!
