Whilst in real life I'm largely optimistic, my kids bemoan the fact that when it comes to anything to do with Town, I typically fear the worst. I blame it on over 40 years a fan and my father's influence before that!
Today I was struck by the atmosphere at Cov. OK it was a Christmas fixture and all that, but even amongst a pretty disappointing first half there wasn't the moaning and derision that is customarily the norm.
Without doubt this is the best period Town have had for some time and the biggest factor in this newly discovered optimistic emotion amongst Spireites must be Paul Cook. His honesty, ipragmatism and belief that results follow performances has been a breath of fresh air - long may that continue.......
