Seriously, if he is to go, then I hope we've got a fantastic deal for him, otherwise I really will cry like a baby!

Ya big soft girl.

I'd miss the morsy shoulder drop (just like the opposition do every time). Best midfielder at town for a long long while.

Just thinking aloud so to speak, but -

The lad we had on trial from Iceland. If PC thinks he would be a suitable replacement for Doyle, and PC thinks he can manage this season with a CM partnership of Hird+Ryan then both Doyle and Morsy leave for big money, and we get a wedge of cash to pay off the debts.

Next summer PC has an increased players budget to rebuild the squad - would that be such a bad thing?

A new hope.

If we got the right offer I guess we would be encouraging him to move on.
How about £2m for Doyle, £1.5m for Morsy and £250k for Ryan, or £3.5m for the three in a job lot?!

We won't get anything like that. Not much more than half of the figure you mention.

Would rather keep the pair of em tbh. Were sooo close to breaking in to the playoffs. I've always had the mindset of, sell for a good price but we must at least keep Doyle this time. Not many (if anyone) thought we' be 2 points off the playoffs at this point, so we should have a good go of at least making 6th.

Saying all that, near £2 million for 2 players that cost how much? £30k? Not bad goin really is it?
Here we go again!

N9o it isnt but they could be worth more. Imagine being able to sell Assombalonga for £5.5m and buy Morsy Ryan and Doyle for £2m or so. Not really bad going eh?

It was stated a couple of seasons back that the club had to become a selling club in order to move forward.....so all 3 will be gone at some point....it will be a massive loss to lose all 3 in the same window...and we need to bring in players with the potential to get the club a profit but also that go straight into the team as banks oshea or gardner are not upto it...and weekly games would be too much for humphs.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Well, when you put it like that it would seem like were desperate to get rid if they went for £2 million. 1 things for sure, their stock has definatly risen this season. How much does the leagues top scorer usually go for if it was anybody else?

Are Peterborough in any debt at all anyone?
Here we go again!

Did you ever accept your invitation to meet with PC?

Did he tell you how content he his to rebuild another squad when the first one was perfectly serviceable. If you haven't met yet, perhaps that could be be your first question when you do?

There are a number of reasons why Assombalonga had a higher transfer value than Doyle has. I think he was over-priced still.

But fee would be 4x higher if Doyle goes for 1.25m. Lets not sell ourselves short

If Morsy is sold then the club will not sell Ryan. He would be worth more as a player for half a season even if he did run his contract down than a token fee. Unless PC has players lined up ready to replace them.

Just my opinion of course.

A new hope.

The market will decide what he's worth. Whether that meets our valuation is another question.

I think we'd take £1.25m in an absolute heartbeat personally.

What we need is two clubs getting into an auction frenzy, and driving the price up to a figure beyond our dreams.

2 points off the playoffs, only outplayed by Swindon all season. Look how much further up the table we'd be if we'd not lost in the last minute to jammy goals, dodgy referees, general bad luck, and an exceptional goalkeeping display against Notts County. Why would we need to sell when we need all three for the Championship next season? Why would the players wanna leave if they know they'll be playing in the 2nd tier either?
