Will be interesting which position he plays. He definitely needs something to kickstart his season.

Also not sure if the second bit of this tweet means us or just generally in the area....
Rob Staton @robstaton
Ollie Banks has joined Northampton on loan from Chesterfield. Could be some more transfer news in the next half an hour. Deadline 5pm today.

O'Toole went to Southend on loan so the attacking midfield position behind Marc Richards is up for grabs.
Oh and Olly will be back for Boxing Day apparantly.

What a strange career he has had. His next club will be his 11th on loan. At 29, over one third of his starts have been at a loan club. A case of the wealthier clubs hoovering up talent they have no place for?

Or could it be a loan move with a chance of a sale in January?
Who would mind a sale if it mean's we got the chance of another player instead ie Johnson.

A strikeforce of Madine and Clarke sounds pretty tasty. Would love to see Clarke back here but he wont come back to sit on the bench. I would like to see us sign an attacking midfielder or a striker before the deadline

He would be an obvious choice but PC was also talking about getting Drew out on loan but I'd of thought the loan window shutting has come to early and when it reopens in January it may be too late

I would be disappointed if Banks left permanently as I think he has a lot to offer. Of course Johnson would be a big bonus.

Getting these players out on loan is a great policy it not only showcases them if they do well at other clubs it ups their match sharpness ( calvin plummer will love that)
Any player who does well on loan and comes back to find the league above difgicult may leave with a pricetag, it makes sense to get them playing games.
