I would be very disappointed if we got sold him for any less than £2 mil. but knowing us someone will offer us £600,000 and we will bite their hands off.

He has got at least 30 goals in him this year (and I think that's being harsh)

The rate he's scoring at at the moment I would be surprised if anything, (total package) less than 2 million is even given consideration!

I would imagine at least £1,000,000 and further add ons.
A new hope.

Not a chance mate..we played hard ball with Leeds to get an offer in the region of 1million for a defender, a striker making headlines and topping 20 goals in all likelihood in the Jan window when demand is great and price at a premium will be worth double that.

I think we'd take a million up front. Whether he is worth more is debateable but given the state of the club, it would be a chunk off the debt plus whatever saving that chunk makes in saved interest on the debt, each year.

£1,000,000 up front, add ons for promotion, appearances etc and a sell on but if we do as we did with Leeds and dont accept the first offer, maybe encourage a bidding war then who knows.

If the initial cash paid is anything lower than £1.5m then whoever is doing the negotiating does want certifying !

It's no real barometer but we received around five hundred grand for Bowry and Folan, two unproven and inexperienced youngsters.

Doyle is a mature, experienced and has scored goals at several levels.

its better getting cash in the bank than add on..how much have we ever made on add ons...unless you count the stash we get when bowery plays for england.

For most of the years I've been supporting Tarn - a lot - there's been hard words from the fans whenever we've been rumoured to be on the point of selling decent talent. Nowadays it seems everybody gets pound signs flashing before their eyes as soon as any player puts in a few good performances.
The simple fact of life is that when you sell talent it would cost you just as much to replace it - but in fact it never gets replaced and we sink back to the same old up-and-down stuff.
I look forward to the first post threatening to chuck away a season ticket if we part with Doyle and Morsy. At the moment it seems everybody wants to be the man ordering the taxi and counting the cash.
You don't sell talent, you build around it.

Ideally, yes. The realities of our finances are though that we aren't in a position to do so and fans are realistic enough to appreciate that.
