Thank God for that! Now lets build on this win and get back to the playoff places, at the very least.

No. He spilled a couple early on when he should have held them but he didn't have a deal to do afterwards.

And punching the ball instead of catching it when under no pressure. He seems to have lost a little confidence in taking the ball out of the air

Yes, that was a bad one. I've certainly not had my usual confidence in him at all this season.

Barnsley site very complimentary. quote 'Agree with all that apart from the heart and soul of a pea comment. I don't think that's true at all. Chesterfield worked harder than us today and deserved their victory, but I don't think our players lack heart, I've seen plenty of it this season, it's just difficult to play at 100 mph every game. We'll beat teams by working harder this season, we were just outfought today.'

Ffs! Tommy has saved us on numerous occations! And today the save from Cole In the second half was pivotal and gave us the three points as much as Doylers goals. I know Tendi was there to save the header but that's his job.

He just doesn't look confident this season; mind you I don't think I'd be confident sat behind our defence the way it's been playing this season (last few games apart)

If the ball is in the air to be caught then he should be holding onto them. If in the air then its his what difference does the men in front of him make to this simple basic skill? They don't come into the equation

It doesn't, but what I was getting more at is his confidence and having a shaky defence in front of him could have led to this I suppose. I dunno, he's just not the same keeper this season for me for some reason.

IMO you don't have to look any further than the fact Crossley is no longer with him

The lad punches the ball fully 30yrds. Out of danger! A basic keeping skill! And he gets slated for it! Perhaps he should have scored a third for us!
