That alone should tell you he isn't ready. Against a better team under a lot more pressure he could let a hatful in next week and that wouldn't be good for the lads career development

I saw he wasn't ready. I don't want to see a repeat any time soon.

I thought it had already been discussed on here that we had a recall clause?
What actually happened with their first goal? From where I was it looked like he was in danger of handling outside the box and that's why he fumbled.

Cook previously said he would recall Chapman straight away.

I hope he tries for a decent loanee

 No where near.Got his hands on the ball and it bounced away from him.A disaster for the lads debut. But the defence protected him fairly well for most of the time.
Many a good tune

Has Dunbavin signed anywhere yet?

I thought Dunbavin had taken a job as a coach at Accrington or stepped into a coaching role when Beattie left. That's how they got to know about Chapman.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Young Wright didn't disgrace himself today apart from the sloppy goal. He seemed a little slow to react for the 2nd goal, but how did their bloke get in a free header yet again. We need some experience against the league leaders next week, the young lad is not quite an Oggy or Stevo just yet, but he has plenty of time to come on in leaps and bounds in the future.Well done Chappy on keeping your 2nd clean sheet especially the one today.

I don't think he should be exposed to a game at Bristol.

On his performance, he let himself down badly for the first after looking like he had everything under control. On the second I thought he might have done better, would have to see it again, looked like he dived over it.

On the plus side his kicking was good and he caught a couple of high balls that Tommy might have punched on his current form

No he severed all ties with Accy when he left. Accy's new manager John Coleman knew about Chapman from his loan spell at Chester last season.Even if we can recall Chapman I can't see Cooky doing so, preferring to opt for an experienced keeper given who we are up against next week

Can't see us using a loan and wage to cover one game that is in reality a bit nothing to lose. Bristol City running away with it so not a disaster if we were to lose. We'll recall chapman and play him.

You never know, chapman might come back, play a blinder, keep a clean sheet and hold down a 1st team place. Stranger things have happened.
Here we go again!

Can't see why we'd bring Chapman back unless we really have to.

We've sent him out to play games. If we recall him we may not find him another league club for him to go back out to. He has the chance to get 10+ games under his belt. If he comes back he may finish with 3 playing.

Surely we'll just look to loan someone in short term or sign someone on a pay as you play deal/none contract.

We aren't going into the game at Bristol expecting anything so lets play the long term game and leave Chapman playing at Accrington.

It's one game. Laws of the game I think.

3 match bans are for violent conduct or serious foul play (higdon yesterday).

Double yellows or denying a goalscoring opportunity carry a one match ban. If you get sent off again the ban increases

As it was clearly DOGSO rather than SFP it has to be a one match ban.

Ah good. I had seen it as SFP somewhere, can't remember where though, maybe on twitter ....

Oldham fans will be delighted as they were tweeting their glee at him being suspended for the game against them :)

Not like radio Sheffield to get something wrong.

Serious foul play is for a late, high or tackle with excessive force or with intent to injure

Tommy will be back before we know it

I think I'd be tempted to give the kid another go.
