It's funny how different clubs choose their managers. Some pick a manager who loves route one while the club's full of players who are used to a passing game. Other managers are employed through reputation and the odd one is even allegedly hired on the back of an after dinner speech, but whichever way a new manager is chosen, both the club and us as supporters have to give the manager time to succeed. A certain Man United manager was very close to the push in his first year, and look what happened there.
I've heard some say Cook should be gone, and we're second in the league, and playing football that's exciting to watch. It's down to people wanting instant success, and not being prepared to wait.
I think both Saunders and Caldwell were given funding and the chance to shine, but neither had the ability to manage, although the latter still seems to be able to blag his way in.

They are about 4 divisions above where they naturally should be. Northern Premier/National North at a push. Without the owner crook they would still be locking horns with Ramsbottom United and Marske.
