Ok question for you Holmes.
I’m a male- worked in football for many years.
Pro and semi pro.
I’ve managed lower league (very low)
I have my Eufa licence.

Would you rather have me managing FGR than the new manager? (because I know who would be better! - and it’s not me)!!

What’s an Eufa licence?

I like the Mark Twain one better…. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Graeme Le Saux used to be clever, he did a lot of cross words, not the ones in The Sun either, he did the hard ones in The Telegraph and he completed them most days. I also remember another (lower league) player (can’t remember the name) going on Countdown, he lost be he put up a good show. There’s some brain boxes in football if you look hard enough.

Paul Holland?

Clarke Carlisle?

Steve Coppell
Kev Davies
Tommy Curtis
Pat Nevin (not sure if he has a degree but he likes good music)

Think that’s about it?

Neil Mackenzie was the first pro footballer on Countdown, then of Notts County.
These go to eleven.

Hannah Dingley replaced by David Horseman after 13 days as the first female manager of an EFL club at Forest Green.

Like it or not, complete publicity stunt in hindsight.

Yeah - we know that - but look at what Dale Vince said at the time- proper marketing spiel.

“Hannah was the natural choice to be first-team interim Head Coach - she’s done a fantastic job leading our Academy and is well aligned with the values of the club.
"It’s perhaps telling for the men’s game that in making this appointment on merit, we’ll break new ground - and Hannah will be the first female Head Coach in English (men’s) football."

Whilst also making it clear it was an interim appointment and not likely to be full-time,..
She was the 1st female head coach, maybe he was just testing the water to see what sort of reaction there was?

Maybe if this manager fails, he'll give her more time if he decides to reinstate her ?

The first female head coach will be the one that takes charge of a league or major cup match. Stop making excuses for the self loving Vince.

It’s noticeable that she won’t be Horseman’s number 2.

Garry O’Niel set to take over at Wolves as they sack their manager, plenty of time for O’Niel to assemble his squad.
God I hate this league.

Not sacked, both parties agreed to go separate ways. He had concerns over lack of funds due to them struggling with FFP so he’s been rumoured to be going for a while.
